Mocejón approves the regulations for its municipal sports schools

The Mocejón City Council has initially approved, in an Ordinary Plenary Session held on June 29, 2026, the General Regulations of the Municipal Sports Service and the Internal Regulations of the Municipal Sports Schools. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo (number 161, of August 25, 2026) and is subject to public consultation for 30 days for the submission of claims and suggestions.

The regulation, signed by the mayor María Concepción Cedillo Tardío on August 19, 2026, unifies the regulation of the municipal sports service and the operation of the sports schools into a single document. If no objections are presented, the regulation will be considered definitively approved and will enter into force the day after its publication, without the need for a new plenary agreement.

A common framework for municipal sport

The regulation is structured in two parts: the first regulates the organization and operation of the Municipal Sports Service, and the second the internal regime of the Municipal Sports Schools. Its scope of application extends to users, clubs, associations, and technical staff, and management corresponds to the Department of Sports.

Among its contents, the programming of activities, the maintenance of facilities, and sports promotion stand out, as well as the organization of courses, camps, tournaments, and guided activities, all of which require mandatory prior registration.

Ten modalities and usage regime

The municipal sports schools encompass a wide range of disciplines, organized by age, level, and technical criteria:

• Padel/Tennis
• Rhythmic Gymnastics
• Skating
• Basketball
• Maintenance gymnastics
• Chess

Access to and presence in the facilities are reserved for authorized users, with the obligation to use appropriate sports footwear and clothing. The calendar and schedules will be approved annually by the Department of Sports, and fees will be set by municipal tax ordinance, with the possibility of discounts based on social criteria.

Disciplinary regime and data protection

The regulation establishes a sanctioning regime of an educational and corrective nature, with three degrees of offenses. Minor offenses (delays or occasional disobedience) are sanctioned with a verbal or written warning; serious offenses (insults, intentional damage, or violent behavior) with temporary suspension or loss of place; and very serious offenses (physical aggression or behavior that jeopardizes safety) with definitive expulsion or prohibition of future registration.

The regulations also establish the obligations of families, who must maintain respectful conduct, and regulate the protection of personal data and the use of images, which will require authorization in accordance with applicable legislation. The instructors will guarantee safety, coexistence, and sports training, under the supervision of the technical staff and the department.

A stable framework for local sports

With this approval, Mocejón provides a unique and updated regulatory framework for its municipal sports service, providing legal certainty for both the management of the facilities and the participation of minors and families in sports schools. The entry into force, planned to occur automatically if there are no objections, will allow for the immediate application of the new rules of use, fees, and coexistence in the next sports season.
