Miranda approves the final list of 62 admitted candidates for library assistant

The City Council of Miranda de Ebro has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the permanent appointment to a library assistant position through an open competitive examination. The resolution, signed by decree of the Mayor’s Office, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 186, dated September 30, 2026, with the official reference BOPBUR-2026-04054. The announcement establishes the order of appearance for the 62 admitted candidates and schedules the tests for next November.

Background and Correction Process

The provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants was approved by decree of the Mayor’s Office on June 10, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 117, dated June 24, 2026. Following that publication, a period of ten business days was opened for interested parties to correct errors or file claims.

Once the submitted documentation was reviewed and the deadline closed, the Mayor’s Office resolved to approve the final list, which replaces the provisional one and orders the applicants according to the assigned sequence number. The procedure is processed via an open competitive examination system, with a single position available.

Sixty-two Admitted and Two Excluded

The final list of admitted applicants consists of 62 people, ordered from 1 to 62 by order of appearance. The list begins with Víctor Hugo Acevedo León, Raúl Alonso Sojo, Elsa Alútiz Castañeira, Tania Amilburu Pérez, and María Elena Angulo Angulo, and closes with Blanca Elena Velasco Frías, María José Villafranca Mendoza, and Kelvin Fabián Zhunaula Chalan.

Regarding the excluded applicants, there are two, both for the same reason:

• Beatriz Guerrero Serrano, due to lack of proof of reduced fee.
• Inmaculada Tejedor Morán, due to lack of proof of reduced fee.

The Qualifying Board

The decree also appoints the board that will grade the selection tests, with titular and substitute members for each position:

• Chairperson: titular Fernando Cardero Elso; substitute Alberto Otal Sáez.
• Member 1: titular Eugenia Granja Álvarez; substitute Amelia González Álvarez.
• Member 2: titular Teresa Marcuartu Labarca; substitute Eduardo Martínez de Compañón.
• Member 3: titular Fernando Izquierdo Franco; substitute Mercedes Serrano González.
• Secretary Member: titular Gemma Maldonado Astorga; substitute Guillermo Díez Delgado.

The recusal of board members may be promoted at any time during the processing of the procedure.

Dates and Venues of the Tests

The competition will begin on November 5, 2026, at 8:45 AM in the Permanent Room of the town hall of the City Council of Miranda de Ebro, located at Plaza de España, number 8.

The first exercise of the competitive examination will be held on November 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the «Raimundo Porres» civic center, located at avenida República Argentina, number 93, postal code 09200, in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos).

The decree is dated in Miranda de Ebro on September 17, 2026, and bears the signature of the mayor-president, Aitana Hernando Ruiz, and the acting secretary, Soraya Vesga Quincoces.

The publication of the final list closes the admission phase and starts the countdown for the 62 applicants, who already know their order of appearance, the calendar, and the venues for the tests that will decide who occupies the permanent position. The two excluded individuals, on the other hand, are out of the process for failing to provide proof of the reduced fee within the granted deadline.
