Metro tenders 1.3 million for the maintenance of asbestos equipment

Metro de Madrid, S. A. has called for tenders for file 6012600246 for the contracting of support services for the maintenance activities of rolling stock and work equipment containing asbestos-containing materials (ACM). Object and scope of the contract

The contract is for services and comprises the performance of support tasks for maintenance activities, both preventive and corrective, that may occur in wide-gauge and narrow-gauge rolling stock, as well as in work equipment, provided they have ACM systems. The place of execution is the facilities of Metro de Madrid, S. A., with NUTS code ES30, and no division into lots is foreseen.

The execution period is three years from the day following the signing of the commencement act of the works, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of two times for periods of up to six months each. No innovative public procurement or financing with European Union funds is contemplated.

Figures and procedure

The estimated value of the contract amounts to 1,300,800.00 euros, VAT not included. The base tender budget is broken down as follows:

• Taxable base: 975,600.00 euros.
• VAT amount: 204,876.00 euros.
• Base tender budget including VAT: 1,180,476.00 euros.

The processing is ordinary and the procedure is open, without a framework agreement or dynamic purchasing system. The award will be governed by the criterion of the offer with the best quality-price ratio: 70 points for economic criteria and 30 for qualitative criteria, of which 18 will be evaluated by value judgment and 12 through the application of formulas. A definitive guarantee of 5 per 100 of the base tender budget, VAT excluded, is required, and no provisional guarantee is required. Subcontracting is permitted.

Deadlines, submission and appeals

Offers must be submitted electronically through the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) application of Metro de Madrid, S. A., and the submission deadline ends at 12:00 hours on October 20, 2026. The bidder is obliged to maintain their offer for six months and no variants are permitted. The opening of the proposals will be carried out electronically through their publication in the Contractor Profile of the Public Procurement Portal of the Community of Madrid.
