Mesía definitively approved an extraordinary credit of 381,197 euros for investments

The Mesía City Council has definitively approved the extraordinary credit file CE 02/2026 of the municipal budget for the 2026 financial year, for an amount of 381,197.35 euros. The approval occurs after the public exhibition period of the plenary agreement of August 28, 2026, ended without any claims being filed. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 184, dated September 25, 2026, within the Local Administration section, under announcement number 2026/6158.

A process without objections

The file was initially approved by the Municipal Plenary in the session of August 28, 2026, for an amount of 381,197.35 euros. That agreement was published in BOP No. 165, dated August 31, 2026, and opened a period of fifteen business days for interested parties to examine the file and present claims or suggestions to the Plenary.

As no objections were registered, the file is considered definitively approved in accordance with the provisions of Article 177 in relation to Article 169 of the Recast Text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Mariano Iglesias Castro, dated September 22, 2026.

Status of the budget

With the incorporated extraordinary credit, the definitive forecasts for the 2026 budget amount to 4,961,120.18 euros, both for income and expenses. The summary by chapters of the income status is as follows:

• Chapter 1 (direct taxes): 649,000.00 euros.
• Chapter 2 (indirect taxes): 50,000.00 euros.
• Chapter 3 (fees and other income): 321,505.83 euros.
• Chapter 4 (current transfers): 1,839,562.16 euros.
• Chapter 5 (patrimonial income): 720.00 euros.
• Chapter 7 (capital transfers): 1,549,965.41 euros.
• Chapter 8 (financial assets): 381,197.35 euros of extraordinary credit, up to a total of 550,366.78 euros.

On the expenditure side, the definitive credits are distributed as follows:

• Chapter 1 (personnel expenses): 1,100,912.50 euros.
• Chapter 2 (current goods and services): 1,430,822.09 euros.
• Chapter 3 (financial expenses): 1,000.00 euros.
• Chapter 4 (current transfers): 104,100.00 euros.
• Chapter 6 (real investments): 381,197.35 euros of extraordinary credit, up to a total of 2,322,285.59 euros.
• Chapter 8 (financial assets): 2,000.00 euros.

Financing and destination

The extraordinary credit covers the 381,197.35 euros through Chapter 8 of income, that is, through financial assets, and is allocated entirely to Chapter 6 of expenses, that of real investments. In this way, the operation does not alter the balance of the budget, which maintains an identical figure for income and expenditure forecasts: 4,961,120.18 euros.

Appeal route open

An administrative appeal may be filed against this final approval in the manner and within the time limits established by the regulations governing that jurisdiction, by virtue of the provisions of Article 171 in relation to Article 177 of the Recast Text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries.

The final approval closes the processing of the file and enables the effective availability of the 381,197.35 euros, which are added to the current budget of Mesía to reinforce the investment chapter. For the residents and for the control of local public spending, the announcement records the final figure of the 2026 municipal budget and its distribution by chapters, in addition to opening the possibility of challenge before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.
