Mengíbar puts the vacant lot cleaning ordinance out for public consultation

The Plenary of the Mengíbar City Council, in an ordinary session held on July 16, 2026, agreed to the initial approval of the modification of the Municipal Ordinance Regulating the Cleaning and Fencing of Plots and the Ornamentation of Constructions. The agreement has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, number 167, dated August 28, 2026, page 13083, under reference 2026/3927.

The file is subject to public inspection for a period of thirty days, counting from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the provincial gazette. During this period, interested parties may examine the file and submit any claims and allegations they deem appropriate.

A procedure that can be closed in silence

Municipal regulations establish an automatic approval mechanism: if no claims have been submitted after the public exhibition period has elapsed, the agreement will be considered definitively approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary. In this way, the modification could become final by the end of September 2026.
