Meis opens three grant calls for sports, culture, and festivals

The Meis City Council publishes in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (no. 165, August 28, 2026) the extracts of three grant calls approved by Mayoral decree on August 25, aimed at sports entities, cultural associations, and festival committees. The three calls are processed through a competitive bidding procedure and total a credit of 37,500 euros.
The regulatory bases for each call are published on the electronic office of the Meis City Council (meis.sedelectronica.gal), and the full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database. The deadline for submitting applications is 15 calendar days starting from the day following the publication in the provincial gazette.
Grants for sports entities
The call for sports entities was approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-0593, with identifier BDNS 926312. The grants will be awarded charged to budget application 2026/341/48005, with a total credit of 18,000 euros.

Aid for culture and training
The second call, approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-0594 (identifier BDNS 926305), is aimed at associations and non-profit entities that develop actions in the field of culture and training. The credit amounts to 14,000 euros, charged to application 2026/334/48003.
- Beneficiaries: associations and non-profit entities.
- Scope: culture and training.
- Credit: 14,000 euros.
Grants for festival committees
The third call, approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-0595 (identifier BDNS 926301), is intended for popular, traditional, and gastronomic festival committees of the municipality. It has a credit of 5,500 euros, charged to application 2026/334/48004.
- Beneficiaries: popular, traditional, and gastronomic festival committees.
- Credit: 5,500 euros.
- Budget application: 2026/334/48004.
The three calls were signed by the mayor-president, Marta Giráldez Barral, and are published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17. With this line of aid, the Meis City Council reinforces support for the associative, sporting, and festive fabric of the municipality, in a commitment to local social and cultural revitalization.
