Martos announces seven firefighter positions via internal promotion

The Martos City Council has approved the rules that will govern the call and the selection process to fill seven Firefighter-Driver positions through the internal promotion system. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board in an ordinary session on September 22, 2026, and the summary of the rules is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 187, dated September 25, 2026, with the official reference 2026/4451. The edict is signed by the mayor-president, Emilio Torres Velasco, in Martos on September 23, 2026.

The positions correspond to the Public Employment Offer for the 2026 fiscal year, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 52, dated March 17, 2026, and are included in the civil service staff list and the municipal Job Position Relationship. The filling of these positions will be as career civil servants, such that applicants who pass the process will acquire a permanent position.

• One position for General Administration Clerk as an interim civil servant, via competitive examination and open entry, with a deadline of fifteen calendar days (2026/4454).
• One position for Special Administration Technician (Architect) as an interim civil servant by programs, via competitive merit-based examination and open entry, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Spain Pluriregional Program 2021-2027, including the creation of an employment pool and a deadline of ten business days (2026/4455).
