Martos approves the provisional list and designates a tribunal for Environmental Monitor

The Martos City Council (Jaén) has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded persons and has appointed the Qualifying Board for the provision of one position as Environmental Monitor, through a competitive examination in the open category. The resolution, signed by the mayor-president Emilio Torres Velasco, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 167, dated August 28, 2026, under reference 2026/3936.

The call is part of the council’s 2026 Public Employment Offer. The regulatory bases were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 62, dated March 30, 2026, with an extract in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía number 99, dated May 26, 2026, and an announcement in the Official State Gazette number 137, dated June 5, 2026. The position, Group C, Subgroup C1, is vacant within the City Council’s civil service staff.

Provisional list of admitted candidates

Following the expiration of the application period and the verification of compliance with the requirements of the third and fourth bases, resolution 2679/2026, dated August 13, approves the provisional list of applicants, with no excluded persons listed:

Period for correction and claims

A period of ten business days, counted from the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, is granted for the correction of remediable defects and the submission of claims. Once this period has ended and the allegations have been resolved, a resolution approving the final lists will be issued, and the location, date, and time of the first exercise will be determined, which will be published in the provincial gazette, on the municipal website (www.martos.es), and on the City Council’s notice board.

Composition of the Qualifying Board

The resolution appoints the selection body, with the effects of abstention and recusal provided for in articles 23 and 24 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector:

• President: titular, Antonio David Miranda Castillo; substitute, Cristóbal Jesús Sánchez Perabá.
• Members: titulars Miguel Ángel Mena Gutiérrez, Fátima Fernández Pozo, and José Miranda Fuentes; substitutes Santiago Chamorro Carpio, Sara Tejero Escribano, and Antonio Caño Gutiérrez.
• Secretary: titular, María Teresa Orta Rodríguez; substitute, María del Carmen Castillo Ramírez.

With the publication of this resolution, the selection process to fill the position of Environmental Monitor enters its decisive phase: the four admitted candidates must stay alert for the final resolution and the date of the first exercise, which will be announced shortly in the provincial bulletin and through the official channels of the Martos City Council.
