Martiherrero sets the public price for his padel court

The Martiherrero City Council has finalized the ordinance regulating the use of its municipal sports facilities and setting the public price for the use of the padel court, following the absence of claims during the public exhibition period. The regulation is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila number 168, dated September 1, 2026, under file number 1734/26.

The provisional plenary agreement thus becomes final, and its full text is made public in compliance with Article 17.4 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The ordinance affects users and residents of the municipality who wish to use the municipal padel court.

Rates and Payment Obligations

Article 9 of the ordinance, dedicated to rates and payment obligations, establishes that to use the facilities, it will be necessary to be registered in the application determined by the City Council. The public prices are set as follows:

• Court rental (90 minutes): 8.00 €.
• Use of court lighting (90 minutes): 2.00 €.

All persons using the court will be obliged to pay the public price, without distinction between registered residents and visitors.

Payment Obligation and Reservation System

The obligation to pay arises from the moment the court is reserved, as stated in the ordinance itself. Debts derived from these public prices may be claimed through the enforcement procedure (procedimiento de apremio), and there will be no refunds in the event of a reservation that is subsequently not used.

The announcement appears signed in Martiherrero on August 20, 2026, by the mayor, José Luis del Nogal Herráez, who signed the publication of the final text of the regulation.

With this ordinance, the Ávila municipality provides a stable and transparent regulatory framework for the use of its padel court, unifying criteria for access, rates, and the reservation system. Setting a public price of 8 euros per hour and a half, plus 2 euros for lighting, allows residents to know the cost of the service in advance and enables the City Council to guarantee the maintenance of the sports facility.
