Marchena aprueba el listado definitivo para cuatro plazas de Policía Local

The Marchena City Council has approved the final list of admitted and excluded candidates for the provision of four Police officer positions for the Local Police force via open competition. The resolution, signed by the Delegated Councilor for Human Resources, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 180, dated September 16, 2026.

The process is framed within Resolution 170/2026, of January 29, which approved the rules and calls for the provision of four Local Police positions via open competition, included in the Public Employment Offer of 2023 and 2025. Following the corrections of material errors in resolutions 238/2026 and 757/2026, the provisional list was published on July 28, 2026, opening a period of ten business days for corrections and claims, which took place between July 29 and August 11.

Process Figures

The final list, under file Moad. 2026/OEP_01/000002, provides the following snapshot of the process:

  • 412 candidates admitted to the selection process.
  • 68 candidates excluded for various reasons.
  • 1 withdrawal from the process (Ríos Hierro, Francisco).
  • 4 positions called via the open competition access system.

Reasons for Exclusion

The exclusions correspond to four causes specified in the rules:

  • E1: failure to submit the standardized form ANNEX I duly completed and/or signed.
  • E2: failure to submit the National Identity Document or submitting it incomplete.
  • E3: failure to prove payment of the fee or making the payment after the deadline.
  • E4: submission of the application after the deadline.

Board and First Exercise

The resolution also designates the Selection Board, chaired by Sebastián Álvarez Melero, with Antonio Osuna Caro as alternate chair, and sets the date for the first exercise of the competition:

  • September 24, 2026, at 4:00 PM, at the EUITA Building (Former School of Agricultural Engineers), in the Cortijo de Cuarto, calle Gaspar Calderas s/n, 41014 Bellavista (Seville).

With the publication of the final lists, the selection process enters its decisive phase for the candidates of the region, who will compete for four career civil servant positions in the Special Administration scale. The resolution, which constitutes a procedural act, has also been disseminated on the City Council’s notice board and on the municipal website; no appeal may be filed against it, although interested parties may file an appeal for reversal against the acts that decide the merits of the matter.
