Marchamalo announces 99,776 euros in grants for school supplies and transport

The Marchamalo City Council has approved the call for grants for the acquisition of school supplies, ICT equipment and/or textbooks, as well as transport pass grants, for the 2026-2027 academic year. The call, approved by Resolution of September 1, 2026, and signed by the mayor Mr. Rafael Esteban Santamaría, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 171, dated September 7, 2026, with code BDNS 927439.

The maximum global amount allocated for these grants amounts to 99,776 euros, financed from budget application 3210.480.00 of the current municipal budget. The application period extends from September 10 to October 9, 2026.

Beneficiaries and requirements

Beneficiaries may include minors enrolled during the 2026-2027 academic year in public or subsidized Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education centers in the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha, as well as students of baccalaureate, vocational training (FP), or university enrolled in public or subsidized centers in Castilla-La Mancha or the Community of Madrid.

To apply for the grants, the following requirements must be met:

• Be registered on the census (empadronado) and/or reside in the municipality of Marchamalo before the publication date of the call.
• Not be subject to the prohibitions of Article 13 of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, being exempt from the requirement of being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
• Submit the application within the established deadline.
• The student must be enrolled in a center supported by public funds in the educational stages specified in the guidelines.
• The family per capita income of the previous year must not exceed 14,500 euros annually, a figure that exceeds the average family income per person in Marchamalo.

Purpose of the grants

The guidelines regulate the granting of aid for school supplies, textbooks, and ICT equipment (tablets and computers), as well as grants for commuter transport. The students subject to the call must be enrolled in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education, Special Education, Baccalaureate, or Basic, Intermediate, or Higher Vocational Training in centers supported by public funds in Castilla-La Mancha, as well as baccalaureate, FP, or university students who use the transport pass of the Community of Madrid.

Regulatory framework

The grants are governed by this call, the Regulatory Bases published on July 25, 2023 and, supplementarily, by the General Grant Ordinance of the Marchamalo City Council, dated May 12, 2023. Additionally, the General Grants Law 38/2003, the General Regulation of the Grants Law (Royal Decree 886/2006, of July 21), Law 39/2015 on Common Administrative Procedure, and Royal Decree 130/2019, which regulates the National Grants Database, are applicable.
