Maranchón opens the taxi regulatory ordinance for public consultation

The Maranchón City Council has initially approved the Municipal Ordinance regulating the Taxi Service, according to the agreement of the Plenary on September 29, 2026, published by the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara in issue number 191, dated October 7, 2026. The text is now subject to public consultation for thirty days so that interested parties may examine it and submit any claims they deem appropriate.

The publication is carried out in accordance with Articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and Article 56 of the Revised Text of the Local Regime. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Alejandro Jesús Atance Sánchez, in Maranchón on October 5, 2026.

This agreement is not the only one adopted by the municipal Plenary in the session of September 29, 2026. On the same date, the City Council approved a specific modification of the Staffing Table and declared the drilling works for a borehole and lifting machinery for groundwater collection in Clares to be of public utility, procedures that also appear published in the same issue of the provincial gazette.

Thirty days to submit claims

The public consultation period is thirty days, counting from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province. During this period, any interested party may examine the text and formulate the allegations they consider pertinent regarding its content.

The regulation directly affects the taxi drivers providing service in the municipality and its users, as it establishes the municipal regime applicable to the taxi service. The announcement does not detail the articulated content of the ordinance, which must be consulted in full within the municipal file.

Consultation at municipal offices and electronic headquarters

The file may be examined at the municipal offices and also through the City Council’s electronic headquarters. The essential details of the procedure are as follows:

The announcement specifies that, in the event that no claims are filed within the aforementioned period, the agreement for the approval of the said ordinance shall be understood as definitively approved. In other words, the regulation will be approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary if the public information process concludes without challenges.

The ordinance provides Maranchón with its own regulatory framework for the taxi service, an activity that will thus have specific municipal regulation.
