María Beatriz Peña Parra, coordinator in the Deputy Ministry of Seville

The General Directorate of Teaching and Human Resources Management of the Ministry of Education has awarded, by resolution of August 17, 2026, a discretionary appointment position to the civil servant María Beatriz Peña Parra, who is appointed to the position of D.P. Coordination in the Vice-Ministry, based in Seville. The appointment is published in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA) number 164, of August 25, 2026, page 11227.

The position was announced by resolution of the General Directorate itself on July 16, 2026, published in BOJA number 140, of July 22. The award is made in accordance with articles 124 and 128 of Law 5/2023, of June 7, on the Civil Service of Andalusia, exercising the powers conferred by the Order of May 11, 2025 (BOJA no. 91, of May 15), and after observing the procedure provided for in article 82.1 of Decree 51/2025, of February 24, which regulates the planning and organization of public employment and the filling of positions within the General Administration of the Regional Government of Andalusia.

Assumption of office and procedures

The resolution expressly states, pursuant to article 82.4 of the aforementioned decree, that after the evaluation of the submitted applications, it has been verified that the selected civil servant possesses the suitability, competencies, and other requirements necessary for the performance of the position, which more than qualify her to exercise the assigned functions with guarantees.

Appeals against the resolution

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, interested parties may file the following appeals:

• Contentious-administrative appeal before the competent Contentious-Administrative Court, within a period of two months from the day following its publication in the BOJA, pursuant to articles 8.2.a), 14, and 46.1 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.
• Optional appeal for reversal before the same body, within a period of one month from the day following its notification, in accordance with articles 112.1, 123, and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and article 115.2 of Law 9/2007, of October 22, of the Administration of the Regional Government of Andalusia.

The resolution was signed in Seville on August 17, 2026, by the Director General, Carlos Muñoz Morales.

This discretionary appointment reinforces the coordination structure of the Vice-Ministry in Seville, a key position for the central organization of the Regional Government of Andalusia.
