Manzaneda updates the employment pool for temporary contractual staff

The Manzaneda City Council has opened the update of its employment pool for temporary labor personnel, a list that is currently exhausted and requires both the review of merits of the people who already belong to it and the incorporation of new applicants. The announcement, signed by the mayor, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on October 13, 2026, within section IV. Local Entities, with the official reference R. 2.436. Applications may be submitted during twenty (20) calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement.

An exhausted list that is reopening

The municipal agreement stems from a finding: the current employment pool no longer allows for the temporary hiring needs of the Council to be met. Therefore, the announcement justifies the call based on the need to “update the merits of the people belonging to the current employment pool” and to “allow the registration and selection of new personnel due to its exhaustion.”

The measure affects the categories of the existing temporary labor personnel employment pool, which are subject to an update process. The stated objective is to have a list of applicants to draw upon for future temporary appointments in the Council.

Those already in the pool must register again

The announcement introduces a relevant clarification for people who have already participated in previous selection processes linked to the municipal employment pool. These individuals are not required to resubmit supporting documentation that is already in the possession of the Council, which simplifies the administrative procedure.

However, re-incorporation is not automatic. The text warns that, if inclusion in the new pool is not requested, members of previous lists “will lose any right to be called once the present update comes into force.” In other words, remaining on the list requires an express request within the fixed deadline.

The call for applications affects both those who were already part of the pool and those aspiring to enter it for the first time, as the update opens registration to new personnel. Following the entry into force of the new list, calls to fill temporary positions in the Manzaneda City Council will be carried out according to the updated list.

For residents interested in working for the Council, the period of twenty calendar days is the most decisive element: anyone who lets this period pass without submitting the application will be excluded from the pool, even if they were previously listed. Furthermore, the publication in the provincial bulletin marks the official starting point of the count, meaning the reference date for any procedure is the day following October 13, 2026.
