Mancha Real sets the ticket price for Merche's concert at five euros

The Mancha Real City Council (Jaén) has approved an ordinance establishing a public price of €5.00 for the ticket to the concert by the artist Merche, which will be held on October 3 in the concert hall on the occasion of the Fair and Festivals in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary. The measure, adopted by the Local Governing Board in an extraordinary session on August 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 169, dated September 1, 2026, and will enter into force the day after its publication.

The ordinance is processed in accordance with Article 7 of the City Council’s own General Regulatory Ordinance on public prices, and its full text is included in the published edict. The single fee per attendee amounts to €5.00 and must be paid as a prior deposit through the purchase of the corresponding ticket, at the locations and times that will be made public via announcements.

Management Regime and Prior Deposit

The payment of the fee is made as a prior deposit once the ordinance is in force. Upon making the payment, the attendee receives a ticket stating, at a minimum, the amount, the day, the location, and the time of the concert. The ticket may not be manipulated or altered, and it must be proven that it has not been used to access the concert.

• The maximum number of tickets for sale is 1,500.
• The maximum capacity of the concert hall must be respected.
• The activity is considered to have started at the beginning of the concert, at which point the public price is required in full.

Refund Scenarios

A refund of the deposited public price will be applicable when the activity does not start due to weather conditions or other force majeure, and in any case for reasons not attributable to the party obligated to pay. In such a case, the administration may opt for the exchange of the ticket for another concert or for the refund of the amount paid.

Conversely, once the activity has started, no refund will be issued. In cases where a refund is applicable, the interested party must submit a request to the City Council’s general registry indicating the applicable scenario and attaching the necessary supporting documents, as well as proving the payment made via prior deposit.

Regulatory Framework and Validity

For matters not provided for in this ordinance, the provisions of the current General Regulatory Ordinance on public prices of the City Council shall apply, approved through its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 256, dated November 6, 2009. An administrative appeal may be filed against the agreement, in accordance with Article 19 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The ordinance, signed by Mayor María del Mar Dávila Jiménez, shall remain in effect until its express modification or repeal or, in any case, until the conclusion of the aforementioned concerts. The establishment of a public price and a limited capacity of 1,500 tickets restricts residents’ access to one of the central events of the patron saint festivities; therefore, the publication of the edict is of direct interest to those wishing to attend the performance.
