Malpica de Tajo approves its final 2026 budget with 2.23 million

The Malpica de Tajo City Council has made public the final general budget for the 2026 fiscal year, for a total amount of 2,233,198.52 euros, along with the annex of the personnel staff approved and funded for the year. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo, number 175, Monday, September 14, 2026, pages 31 and 32, with announcement number No. I.- 4017.

The budget was initially approved by the municipal plenary in an extraordinary session held on August 4, 2026, and its initial approval was published in provincial bulletin number 151, dated August 11, 2026. As no claims were filed during the public exhibition period, the budget has become final, in accordance with the provisions of article 169.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The expenditure and income budget

The expenditure budget is structured into non-financial operations for 2,233,198.52 euros, with no financial operations. The main expenditure chapters are:

• Personnel expenses: 674,056.93 euros.
• Current expenses for goods and services: 926,199.15 euros.
• Financial expenses: 13,000.00 euros.
• Current transfers: 241,300.00 euros.
• Real investments: 370,828.68 euros.
• Capital transfers: 2,788.04 euros.

On the income side, non-financial operations also total 2,233,198.52 euros, highlighting current transfers for 838,514.99 euros, direct taxes for 523,008.47 euros, and fees, public prices, and other income for 378,767.62 euros. Financial operations remain at zero.

The 2026 personnel staff

In accordance with article 90 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, the annex of the personnel staff for 2026 is also published. Among the career civil servants are:

• Secretary-Auditor (group A1, level 26), in an interim position.
• Two Administrative Assistants (group C1), one of them in an interim position.

Permanent labor staff include:

• Librarian (1 position).
• Cleaner (1 position).
• 1st Class Construction Worker (2 positions).
• Home Care Assistant (6 positions).
• Gardener (1 position), included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer.

Appeal and closure

The announcement, signed by Mayor Daniel Arrogante Guerrero in Malpica de Tajo on September 3, 2026, recalls that, pursuant to article 171.1 of the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the final approval in the form and within the time limits established by the corresponding jurisdiction.

The publication of the final budget and the staffing table provides legal certainty to the municipal management for the fiscal year, while the gardener position in the public employment offer opens a path to stable employment for residents and reinforces the municipal maintenance services for green spaces.
