The City Council of Malpica de Bergantiños announces the grants for the promotion of individual sports for the year 2026, endowed with a global amount of 5,000 euros and a maximum of 2,000 euros per application. The call was approved by Mayoral Resolution no. 563/2026, dated September 23, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) no. 186, dated September 29, 2026, under announcement number 2026/6231.

In official results, a Galician championship between 1st and 3rd place is worth 5 points, a Spanish championship 8, and a European championship 12.
Deadlines, submission, and processing
Applications shall be submitted electronically through the Registry of the municipal electronic office within a period of 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract in the BOP, using the standardized forms attached to the bases. The required documentation includes the DNI, the 2026 federative license and the current one, the sports history certified by the federation, the sports project, the declaration of other grants, the certification of bank details, and the authorization to consult the certifications of the Tax Agency, Social Security, and Atriga. If the documentation is incorrect or insufficient, a period of 10 business days will be opened to amend it.
The instructing body is the Sports Technician, who will formulate the resolution proposal based on the report of the Evaluation Commission, appointed by the mayor and composed of the mayor himself as president, a civil servant as secretary without voice or vote, and three members of the governing group. The granting corresponds to the Mayor, Eduardo José Parga Veiga, who signs the bases in Malpica de Bergantiños on September 24, 2026. The grant will be understood as accepted if there is no express rejection within 10 days following notification, and the justification must be presented within three months, with expenses incurred between January 1 and December 31, 2026.
The call provides financial coverage for athletes competing outside the municipality and requires dissemination counterparts, as beneficiaries must indicate in their activities the legend “subsidized by the City Council of Malpica de Bergantiños” with the official shield. For local athletes with a federative license, the period of 20 calendar days from the publication in the BOP marks the immediate calendar for the submission of applications.
