Malpartida auctions the municipal pool bar for 22,000 euros

The City Council of Malpartida de Cáceres has opened a tender for the concession of private use of public domain to operate the bar-restaurant-terrace located within the municipal swimming pool grounds during the 2027 and 2028 seasons. The announcement, signed by the mayor-president Alfredo Aguilera Alcántara on October 27, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0207, corresponding to Wednesday, October 28, 2026, within Section I of Local Administration, with the official reference BOP-2026-5035 (pp. 24447-24448).

The object: a bar, a restaurant, and a terrace at the pool

The contract is designed as a public domain concession under a competitive bidding process; that is, the successful bidder will obtain the private use of a municipal public domain space—the bar-restaurant-terrace of the pool grounds—to operate it commercially during the next two swimming seasons.

The announcement details the economic and temporal conditions of the contract:

• Minimum fee: 22,000 euros for the two years, an amount that serves as the bidding price.
• Duration: 2 years, extendable for a maximum period of 2 more years.
• VAT: the fee is not subject to Value Added Tax.
• Seasons: 2027 and 2028.

The amount of the fee is set in accordance with the provisions of Article 87.5 of the Regulations on Assets of Local Corporations, while the VAT exemption is supported by Article 7.9 of the Law regulating Value Added Tax.

Fifteen calendar days and two submission methods

The deadline for submitting offers is 15 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the tender announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province, which places the closing date on November 12, 2026, according to the calendar day count.

Offers may be submitted through two channels:

• In paper and in a sealed envelope, at the General Registry of the City Council of Malpartida de Cáceres, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, Monday to Friday.
• Electronically, using the offer preparation and submission tool of the Public Sector Procurement Platform or an equivalent information system of the Autonomous Community.

Award by competition and best value for money

The method of award shall be a competitive procedure, in which any interested party meeting the conditions set forth in the specifications may submit an offer. The resolution shall be adopted through a plurality of award criteria based on the best quality-price ratio, as established in the specific administrative clauses specifications and the technical specifications.

Both specifications, along with the annexes, will be published in the contractor profile of the City Council of Malpartida de Cáceres, accessible through its electronic office, in order to ensure transparency and public access to information regarding municipal contractual activity, without prejudice to the publicity on the Public Sector Contracts Platform.

The tender arrives with the 2027 and 2028 seasons ahead and a starting fee of 22,000 euros for two years, such that the concessionaire will assume the catering operation of the sports complex for at least two summers, with the option to extend the business until 2030 if the extension is approved. For the local hospitality sector of Malpartida de Cáceres and its surroundings, the announcement opens a window of barely two weeks to secure one of the catering spaces linked to the municipal facilities with the highest summer attendance in the municipality.
