Mairena del Aljarafe abre ayudas de 94.369 euros para alquiler y vivienda

The Mairena del Aljarafe City Council has opened the 2026 call for grants aimed at facilitating access to and maintenance of housing, with a maximum budget of 94,369.10 euros and directed at individuals registered in the municipality for at least one year. The call was approved by the Local Government Board on October 19, 2026, and is published via extract no. 224411 in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville (BOP) no. 215, dated November 6, 2026, with official reference BOP-SE-2026-215021.

The text is based on articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and refers to the file in the National Subsidy Database (BDNS) with identifier 939866, where the full version can be consulted. The convening body is the Mairena del Aljarafe City Council itself, which processes the aid through its Municipal Housing Office on a competitive basis.

The specific rules are issued in development of the General Regulatory Ordinance for the Granting of Subsidies of the Mairena del Aljarafe City Council, published in BOP no. 26, dated February 2, 2021. Eligible expenses are those incurred during the year prior to the publication of the extract.

Three lines of aid: rent, deposit, and debts

The call is divided into three lines of action, which are incompatible with one another:

  • Line 1 (rent): payment of rent to tenants who are up to date with their payments, equivalent to two monthly payments and with a maximum limit of 1,000 euros.
  • Line 2 (access): up to 800 euros for the legal deposit of a new rental contract and up to 500 euros for notary and registry expenses in the purchase of a first home with a mortgage loan.
  • Line 3 (maintenance): payment of debts for the primary residence, with a maximum of two community fees (limit 200 euros) or two monthly rent or mortgage payments (limit 1,000 euros, provided the total debt does not exceed three monthly payments).

Only one grant will be awarded per household and, in lines 2 and 3, a subsidy may only be requested for one of the expenses provided for in each of them.

94,369 euros charged to the 2026 fiscal year

The available credit amounts to 94,369.10 euros and is allocated to budget item 001-15000-48009-22026002802, titled “Rent and housing acquisition aid” for the 2026 fiscal year. The aid is incompatible with any other regional, state, or local subsidy for the same purpose and eligible period.

Payment is made in a single installment for the full amount, subject to justification through the corresponding vouchers and certificates provided along with the application. In cases of rent or community debts (Line 3), the amount is paid directly to the landlord or the community of owners.

One year of registration and income limits

The main requirements to access the aid are:

  • To be of legal age and have Spanish nationality, nationality of an EU/EEA member state, or legal residence in Spain.
  • To be registered (empadronado) and effectively reside in Mairena del Aljarafe with a minimum seniority of one year prior to the application.
  • To use the dwelling as a habitual and permanent home.
  • Not to exceed the income thresholds of the coexistence unit for the 2025 fiscal year, set between 3.00 times the IPREM for one person and 5.10 times for six, with an increase of 0.30 for each additional member.
  • That no member of the coexistence unit holds full ownership or a real right of enjoyment of another dwelling, except for the exception provided for owners regarding the dwelling subject to the aid.

100-point scale and electronic application within ten business days

Applications are valued on a maximum of 100 points: economic circumstances contribute between 15 and 75 points, with priority for the lowest incomes measured in number of times the IPREM, and family circumstances between 15 and 25 points for belonging to Special Protection Groups. In the event of a tie, priority is given to the lowest income level, then the highest family burden, and finally, the order of submission.

The submission period is ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOP, and processing is exclusively electronic through the municipal electronic office (mairenadelaljarafe.sedelectronica.es), using the standardized forms of annexes I, II, and III. The call is also disseminated on the electronic office and in the BDNS. The summary is signed in Mairena del Aljarafe, on November 4, 2026, by the councilwoman-delegate of the Area of Presidency, Urban Planning and Housing, Marta Alonso Lappi.

The call arrives in a context of sustained pressure on housing prices in the Seville metropolitan area and covers three different moments—paying current rent, facing the deposit for a new rental, or settling accumulated debts—so that it reaches both up-to-date tenants and families with pending rent, mortgage, or community bills. For interested households, the practical key is the calendar: the deadline is short, the channel is only electronic, and the supporting documentation must accompany the application, not be submitted later.
