Madroñera aprueba el padrón del agua y abre el cobro voluntario

The Madroñera City Council has opened the collection process for the drinking water supply for the second bimester of 2026, corresponding to the May-June period. The tax register and the settlements comprising it were approved by Mayoral Decree No. 2026-0207, dated August 14, 2026, and are now published via collective notification edict in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres No. 0200, dated October 19, 2026 (reference BOP-2026-4874). The announcement directly affects the bills of all subscribers in the municipality.

Public Exhibition and Appeal for Reversal

The publication of the edict complies with the provisions of Article 102.3 of the General Tax Law 58/2003, of December 17, and Article 24 of the General Collection Regulations, approved by Royal Decree 939/2005, of July 29. The register and settlements will be open for public inspection for a period of twenty days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement.

Consultation can be carried out at two locations:

An appeal for reversal may be filed with the Mayor’s Office against the act of approval of the register and against the settlements contained therein. The deadline is one month starting from the day following the end of the public exhibition period, in accordance with Article 14.2.c) of the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.

Payment Calendar and Direct Debits

The edict establishes the voluntary payment period for the tax in accordance with Article 62.3 of the General Tax Law. The published calendar is as follows:

  • Concept: drinking water supply.
  • Voluntary collection period: from October 19 to November 19, 2026.
  • Account charge date: October 29, 2026.
  • General term: two calendar months starting from the day following the publication of the edict.

All payments must be made by deposit into the account held by the Madroñera City Council, either through bank direct debit or via a payment letter issued by the Council itself. No other payment channels are provided for in the announcement.

Consequences of Non-Payment

Once the voluntary payment period has elapsed without the debt being satisfied, the executive period will begin. The edict refers to Articles 26, 28, and 161 of the General Tax Law 58/2003, of December 17, to warn that such a circumstance will lead to the demand for late payment interest, as well as the corresponding surcharges and, where applicable, the costs of the enforcement procedure.

The document is signed in Madroñera on October 14, 2026, by the mayor, María José González Collado, and occupies pages 23715 and 23716 of the provincial bulletin, within Section I, Local Administration, in the City Councils section.

Impact for subscribers

The edict is the official reference that activates the collection for the May and June bimonthly period for all subscribers to the drinking water service of Madroñera. Residents must check their settlements during the twenty days of public exhibition, as this procedure is the means to review the amount before voluntary payment begins, and should keep in mind that the direct debit is scheduled for October 29. Anyone who does not pay within the established calendar will enter executive proceedings, with interest, surcharges, and possible enforcement costs charged to them.
