Madrid Salud convoca 19 becas de formación e investigación para 2027

The manager of Madrid Salud, Antonio Prieto Fernández, has announced 19 training and research grants in subjects within the competence of the municipal autonomous body, intended for the 2027 fiscal year. The call is published via the summary of the resolution dated October 23, 2026, disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) number 257, dated October 27, 2026, in section III of Local Administration. The deadline for submitting applications is only ten business days from the day following the publication of the summary.

The call is supported by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, whose articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a require the publication of the summary and the submission of the full text to the National Subsidies Database, where it can be consulted. The regulatory bases are the Ordinance of General Regulatory Bases for the granting of Subsidies by the Madrid City Council and its Public Bodies, dated October 30, 2013, published on the municipal website. In the national registry, the call appears with three identifiers: BDNS: 937661, BDNS: 937662, and BDNS: 937663.

296,400 euros and twelve months in duration

The total amount of the grants amounts to 296,400 euros, which results in an average of 15,600 euros for each of the 19 announced positions. The planned duration is 12 months, with the start date set for January 1, 2027.

The summary specifies, however, that this calendar is flexible: the execution period will be adjusted to the moment the call is effectively resolved, with a non-extendable limit of December 31, 2027. In other words, a delay in the resolution will not extend the period of enjoyment of the grants, but will instead compress it.

Requirements and submission methods

Natural persons, Spanish or foreign, who meet the requirements set out in article 3 of the bases of the call may apply for the grants. The planned methods for registering the application are:

  • The Registry of the Autonomous Body Madrid Salud, at Avenida del Mediterráneo, 62, 28007 Madrid, which is indicated as the preferred method.
  • The Electronic Office of the Madrid City Council, accessible at https://sede.madrid.es.
  • Any other registry, in which case the interested party must notify Madrid Salud by email at mssgppsservadmin@madrid.es.

Ten business day deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is 10 business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOCM, that is, from October 28, 2026. This is a very tight window for a procedure that requires proof of qualification and the requirements of article 3 of the bases, so electronic submission emerges as the most operational option for candidates.

The resolution bears the internal reference number 03/17.374/26 and appears on page 185 of the regional bulletin, under the Economic Regime heading of the Madrid City Council.

The call arrives with a tight schedule to start in January: whoever secures one of the 19 positions will join the city council’s public health services throughout 2027. For recent graduates and young researchers seeking their first experience in the field of municipal public health, this is one of the few paid entry points the organization opens, although the ten-business-day window requires documentation to be prepared in advance.
