Madrid concede 2,5 millones en subvenciones a clubes deportivos no profesionales

The Community of Madrid allocates 2,514,169.34 euros to subsidize Madrid sports clubs for the participation of their teams in the highest categories and levels of official national or international competitions of a non-professional nature. The grant is formalized in Order 1835/2026, dated September 28, from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport, signed by the Minister Mariano de Paco Serrano. The text is published in the OFFICIAL BULLETIN OF THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID (B.O.C.M.) no. 238, dated October 6, 2026, with the reference BOCM-20261006-13.

The order applies the regulatory bases established by Order 465/2022, dated April 6, and develops the 2026 call for applications approved by Order 610/2026, dated April 14. The competence to propose the grant corresponds to the General Directorate of Sports, according to Decree 264/2023, dated December 5, which establishes the organic structure of the Ministry, while Law 2/1995, dated March 8, on subsidies of the Community of Madrid, grants the ministers the power to award them.

Payment is made charged to sub-concept 48099 of program 336A of the Expenditure Budget of the Community of Madrid for 2026, approved by Law 6/2025, dated December 23. The order is effective from the day following its publication in the bulletin.

Exclusions, limits, and rejected applications

The order details the cases in which applications have been discarded:

  • Files 46, 138, 153, 155, and 181: excluded under section 6.7 of Order 610/2026, which only evaluates the highest-ranked teams when a single club presents more than one team in the same category.
  • Files 72 and 121: the club did not compete in the 2025-2026 season.
  • Clubs with more than four teams: Club Madrileño de Ciencias, CDE Arqueros Villa de Valdemorillo, and Club Escuela Piragüismo de Aranjuez.
  • De minimis regulations: Baloncesto Fuenlabrada S.A.D. (file 303) and CDE Leganés FS Masdeporte (files 385 and 387) are excluded for exceeding the 300,000 euro limit set by Regulation (EU) 2023/2831.
  • Annex II includes approximately thirty rejected applications, including those of Real Canoe Natación Club, Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, and Club Voleibol Leganés.

Deadlines, payment, and appeals

Beneficiaries must present the certificate provided for in Article 9 of Order 465/2022 and in section 8 of Order 610/2026 within ten business days from the day following publication. They are also subject to the obligations of Article 13 of Order 465/2022.

Against the order, which concludes the administrative process, the following may be filed:

  • An optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the same body, within one month.
  • A contentious-administrative appeal before the High Court of Justice of Madrid, within two months.

The resolution bears the administrative file number (03/15.633/26).

The measure provides financial support to youth and amateur teams competing at the elite level of their disciplines without a professional structure, from field hockey to archery or canoeing. For dozens of clubs in the region, these grants cover travel and the organization of a full season in national categories; therefore, the publication of Annex I determines the payment schedule for the beneficiary entities.
