Madrid adjusts the educational grants of five private schools

The Community of Madrid has modified the educational agreements of five private teaching centers for the 2026-2027 academic year through Order 3797/2026, dated September 8, published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 225, dated September 21, 2026. The adjustment responds to the number of students finally enrolled after the ordinary admission process and affects units and support resources for Early Childhood, Primary, ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education), and Bachillerato. The modifications take effect from September 1, 2026.

The regulation is issued by the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities and modifies the agreements approved by Order 3023/2026, dated July 30, by the Regional Minister of Education, Science, and Universities. It is based on Article 46 of the Regulation of Basic Norms on Educational Agreements, approved by Royal Decree 2377/1985, dated December 18, and appears in section I.C “Other Provisions” of the gazette, on pages 52 and 53, with the reference BOCM-20260921-17 and file 03/14.606/26.

The signature corresponds to the Director General of Subsidized Education, Scholarships, and Study Grants, Jorge Elías de la Peña y Montes de Oca, by delegation of the Regional Minister (Order 365/2024, dated February 13).

The five affected centers

• Centro Ibn Gabirol Colegio (code 28036450), paseo de Alcobendas, 7, Alcobendas: 3 Early Childhood units, 10 Primary, and 3 plus 3 ESO.
• Colegio Pasteur (28074074), calle de Benicarló with calle de Valencia, Arroyomolinos: 11 Early Childhood units, 24 Primary, and 8 plus 10 ESO.
• Jesús María (28007619), calle de los Hermanos García Noblejas, 68, Madrid (Ciudad Lineal district): 8 plus 6 ESO units and 8 Bachillerato.
• Monte Tabor (28065759), paseo de la Casa de Campo, 2, Pozuelo de Alarcón: 6 Early Childhood units, 12 Primary, and 5 plus 6 ESO.
• Santa Elena (28025646), calle de Luis de Requesens, 12, Villarejo de Salvanés: 5 Early Childhood units, 12 Primary, and 5 plus 4 ESO.

Units and support modules

The annex of the order details, stage by stage, the units to be agreed upon and the support modules intended for students with special educational needs (ACNEES), with separate sections for motor skills, hearing, and other needs. Among the supports listed are 4 motor skills modules in Primary at Colegio Pasteur, 2 motor skills and 2 hearing modules in Primary at Monte Tabor, 1.5 motor skills in Bachillerato at Jesús María, and 0.5 in Primary at Centro Ibn Gabirol Colegio and Santa Elena.

The modification is justified, according to the text, by the fact that the development of the ordinary admission process highlighted the need to adjust the units or support resources “based on the number of students finally enrolled.”

Effects, formalization, and appeals processes

• The approved modifications take effect from September 1, 2026.
• They shall be formalized by means of a diligence signed by the corresponding Territorial Area Director and the head of the center or their accredited legal representative.
• Against the order, which exhausts administrative remedies, an optional appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) may be filed before the Minister of Education, Science, and Universities within one month.
• A contentious-administrative appeal may also be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Madrid within two months.
• Both periods are counted from the day following the publication in the bulletin.

The adjustment directly affects semi-private schools (colegios concertados), families, and students in five Madrid municipalities and districts, as it determines how many units the Administration supports with public funds and what support each center has during the 2026-2027 academic year. Since this is a modification with retroactive effects to the start of the course, the centers must formalize the diligences to consolidate the new financing conditions.
