Maçanet de la Selva announces three positions for local police officer

The Local Government Board of the Maçanet de la Selva City Council has approved the expansion from one to three of the places for local police officers to be filled as career civil servants through competitive examination. The call, with code 09/2026, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona number 156, of 14 August 2026, edict 7195 (CVE BOP-2026_0_156_7195). Interested parties have 20 calendar days to submit applications, counting from the day after the publication of the call in the DOGC.

The agreement was adopted in the ordinary session of 5 August 2026, with the modification of the bases and the call for an initial position, corresponding to file X2026002253, and the notice is signed by the mayoress, Natàlia Figueras Pagès. The positions are included in the special administration scale, special services subscale, basic scale, subgroup C-1, and the functions are those determined by Law 16/1991, of 19 July, on local police, and the corps regulations approved by the City Council.

Requirements and submission of applications

To participate, applicants must meet the requirements of the second basis on the last day of the deadline and previously pay the examination fee of 20 euros, regulated by Fiscal Ordinance number 6. The application must be submitted to the General Registry of the City Council or through any of the means provided for in article 16 of Law 39/2015, addressed to the presidency of the corporation, and must be accompanied, among other documents, by the standardised model in annex 4, the curriculum, the certificate of criminal records and the proof of payment.

• Have Spanish citizenship and be at least 18 years old, without exceeding the compulsory retirement age.
• Hold a high school diploma, technical qualification or equivalent, a class B driving licence and an intermediate level of Catalan (B2).
• Meet the minimum height of 1.55 m for women and 1.65 m for men, and sign the commitment to carry weapons.
• Not have been convicted of any crime or be disqualified from exercising public functions.

Competition and examination: six eliminatory exercises

The selection system combines a competition phase —seniority, qualifications, training, Catalan knowledge and distinctions, with a maximum of 10 points— with an examination phase of six compulsory and eliminatory exercises: Catalan (with exemption for those who accredit the B2), general knowledge, a theoretical test on the syllabus in annex 2, a psychotechnical test with a competency-based interview, physical fitness and a medical examination. The physical tests include horizontal jump, medicine ball throw, 50-metre race and 1,000-metre race.

• El tribunal qualificador estarà integrat per un terç de membres o funcionaris de la mateixa corporació, un terç de personal tècnic especialitzat i un terç proposat pel Departament d’Interior, amb representants de l’Institut de Seguretat Pública de Catalunya i de la Direcció General de Coordinació de les Policies Locals.
• La puntuació de la fase de concurs no es pot aplicar per superar els exercicis de l’oposició, i l’ordre d’actuació es determinarà per sorteig.

Nomenament, curs i període de pràctiques

Qui superi el procés serà proposat per al nomenament com a funcionari en pràctiques i haurà de superar el Curs de Formació Bàsica de l’Institut de Seguretat Pública de Catalunya, amb exempció per a qui l’hagi fet anteriorment. Tot seguit, els aspirants hauran de completar un període de pràctiques de dotze mesos al municipi, en acabat el qual es proposarà el nomenament com a funcionaris de carrera. L’adjudicació es farà amb una única llista ordenada per puntuació i, si la presència de dones al cos és inferior al 33%, s’aplicarà el criteri de preferència per a candidates dones previst a la Llei 5/2020, sempre que el diferencial de puntuació no superi el 15%.

Amb aquesta convocatòria, que triplica les places inicialment previstes, Maçanet de la Selva reforça la plantilla de la seva policia local i obre una via d’accés a l’ocupació pública estable per als aspirants de la comarca de la Selva. Les bases completes, amb el temari, els barems de les proves físiques i els annexos, es poden consultar al BOP número 156, i el termini de presentació de sol·licituds començarà a córrer quan la convocatòria es publiqui al DOGC.
