Ólvega announces a competitive examination for one municipal Bailiff position

The Ólvega City Council has announced the permanent appointment of one Municipal Bailiff position, as a civil servant, through a competitive examination and merit system. The decision stems from an agreement by the Local Government Board adopted in a session held on August 13, 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 97, dated August 21, 2026 (official reference BOPSO-97-21082026).
The position is part of the 2026 Public Employment Offer, approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on March 26, 2026 (with a correction of errors on April 9) and published in the BOP number 38, dated March 30, 2026 (correction in the BOP number 48, dated April 24, 2026). The application period will be twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette.

Selection Process and Scoring Scale
The procedure consists of two phases: the competitive examination (oposición), which accounts for 60% of the score, and the merit assessment (concurso), with the remaining 40%. The competitive examination phase includes two eliminatory tests:
- A multiple-choice test of 60 questions with four alternative answers, with a maximum of 30 points and a minimum of 15 to pass.
- A practical exercise with three cases related to the functions of the position, also with a maximum of 30 points.
In the merit assessment phase, professional experience (up to 35 points) and training (up to 5 points) are valued. The Evaluating Board will be composed of a president, three members, and a secretary, with a predominantly technical composition. Those who pass the process without being selected will join an employment pool for future temporary calls.
