Por FactBox Admin

The Lugo City Council has established the definitive list of persons admitted and excluded from the selection process for permanent access to 17 firefighter-driver positions, belonging to the municipal civil servant staff. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Decree no. 7906/2026, dated September 25, 2026, and the appointment of the qualifying tribunal by Agreement no. 8/398 of the Local Government Board, in the session of September 28, 2026. The announcement publishes both agreements in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 230, dated October 8, 2026, with official reference R. 2682.
A call for 17 positions in the free turn
The positions correspond to the public employment offer of three fiscal years: 4 included in the OEP 2023, 2 in the OEP 2024, and 11 in the OEP 2025. The deadline for submitting applications ended on August 7, 2026.
The general bases of the process were approved by agreement 10/857 of the Government Board on November 15, 2023, published in the BOP Lugo no. 278, dated December 4, 2023. The provisional list was published in the BOP Lugo no. 204, dated September 7, 2026, and is now elevated to definitive following the amendment period.

Appeals against the resolutions

- Contentious-administrative appeal, within two months, before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Lugo (articles 8, 25 and 46 of Law 29/1998).
- Recusal against the agreement for the designation of the tribunal, under the terms of Law 40/2015.
The announcement is dated Lugo, October 2, 2026, and bears the signature of the mayor-president, María Elena Candia López.

With the final list and the tribunal already designated, the next step is the call for tests, which will be announced on the municipal notice board and at the venues where they will be held.
