Lugo definitively approves the low emission zone ordinance

The Lugo City Council has definitively approved the municipal ordinance regulating the low emission zone (ZBE), a regulation that will affect all traffic and the city’s residents. The agreement was adopted in an ordinary plenary session held on July 30, 2026, through agreement 5/111, which resolves the submitted allegations and makes the ordinance definitive.
The approval was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo (BOP) no. 212, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, under reference R. 2452. The regulation will enter into force the day following its full publication in the BOP, once the period of fifteen business days has elapsed from the receipt of the communication of the agreement by the State and regional administrations.
