Lucía Amérigo presidirá el instituto agrario andaluz en sustitución de Marta Bosquet

The Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía publishes this Thursday, November 5, 2026, the change in leadership at the Andalusian Institute for Research and Training in Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Organic Production (IFAPA). Decree 537/2026, of October 30, provides for the appointment of Lucía Amérigo Góngora as president of the organization, while Decree 530/2026, of the same date, formalizes the cessation, due to transfer to another destination, of Marta Bosquet Aznar in that same position.

Both decisions are included in section 2.1 of the provisions of BOJA number 214, dedicated to appointments, situations, and incidents, and bear the signature of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, the department to which the institute reports. The two decrees occupy one page each and are published with text numbers 14493 (cessation) and 14489 (appointment).

A change in leadership of agricultural research

The change in leadership affects the Presidency of IFAPA, the Andalusian public body responsible for research, training, and knowledge transfer in agricultural, fisheries, food, and organic production matters. The cessation of Bosquet Aznar occurs due to “transfer to another destination,” according to the wording used in Decree 530/2026, without the published text detailing the destination position.

The appointment of Amérigo Góngora was approved one day after the weekly meeting of the Governing Council and is formalized by decree, the ordinary route for designating the heads of presidencies and general directorates of the regional Administration. The publication of both decrees in the same edition of the BOJA confirms that the substitution is resolved without an interim period.

Institute activity in the same edition

The November 5 edition coincides with the publication of three calls for employment contracts issued by the Presidency of IFAPA itself within the framework of specific R&D&T projects:

  • Resolution of October 27, 2026, text no. 14512, ten pages.
  • Resolution of October 29, 2026, text no. 14515, ten pages.
  • Resolution of October 29, 2026, text no. 14516, ten pages.

Added to these, in the same issue, is the Resolution of October 30, 2026, from the Vice-Ministry of Agriculture, which announces a public call to fill a discretionary appointment position that will soon become vacant (text no. 14508).

Other appointments from the same Governing Council

The package of decrees from October 30 also includes changes in other regional ministries:

  • Lorena Garrido Serrano, new Director General of Procurement of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds, by Decree 536/2026 (text no. 14488).
  • María de los Ángeles Rodríguez Peralta, new Director General of Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport, by Decree 538/2026 (text no. 14487).
  • The cessation, at his own request, of Rafael Salas Machuca in that same general directorate, by means of Decree 531/2026 (text no. 14485).
  • María Teresa Ruiz-Sillero Bernal, new Commissioner for Administrative and Territorial Transformation, by Decree 539/2026 (text no. 14490), attached to the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Development and Public Administration.

In regulatory terms, the same issue includes Decree 526/2026, of October 30, which modifies Decree 203/2026, of July 30, establishing the organic structure of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Development and Public Administration (text no. 14483), and the Order of October 20, 2026, which updates the Natural Resources Management Plan and the Master Plan for the Use and Management of the Doñana Natural Space (text no. 14344).

The appointment of the new president of IFAPA therefore arrives at a time of intense contractual activity for the institute, which on the same day publishes three calls for R&D&I contracts. For the Andalusian agri-food sector, the handover implies a new interlocutor at the head of the body that channels applied research, experimentation on farms, and the training of field professionals—key areas in the execution of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027, which the bulletin itself details in other sections of this edition.
