Lourenzá announces the VIII Amateur Theatre Competition with the Conde Santo prize

The Lourenzá City Council announces the VIII Amateur Theater Competition 2026, an event that opens the door for amateur theater companies and groups to compete for a “Conde Santo” prize of 750 euros and a trophy. The call was approved by Mayor’s resolution no. 2026-0209, dated August 19, 2026, and its extract is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo on August 28, 2026.
Registration will remain open until September 30, 2026, and the full rules can be consulted on the council’s notice board and its electronic office. Documentation and deadline
The documentation to be submitted includes the registration form available on the council’s website. The application and documents shall be presented once the extract of the rules has been published in the BOP of Lugo, the full text of which appears in the BDNS, with a deadline of September 30, 2026.
Prizes
The competition awards the “Conde Santo” prize to the best performance, endowed with 750 euros and a trophy. The jury, in accordance with the organization, may establish additional prizes if deemed appropriate.
The call, signed by the mayor-president Rocío López García in Lourenzá on August 20, 2026, consolidates the competition as one of the reference events for amateur theater in Galician in the province, giving visibility to non-professional companies and boosting the cultural offer of the municipality.
