Locales y farolas gratuitos para la campaña electoral del 29 de noviembre

The zonal electoral boards of Chiclana de la Frontera, Arcos de la Frontera, and San Roque have published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz no. 202, dated October 20, 2026, the list of official premises, public squares, and lampposts that the city councils provide free of charge for campaign events and propaganda for the general elections on November 29. Announcements No. 355.189, No. 358.243, and No. 359.059 detail capacities, schedules, and locations across twenty municipalities. The campaign runs from November 13 to 27, and requests must be addressed to the corresponding electoral board.

The publication complies with articles 55, 56, and 57 of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime, which require city councils to reserve special free spaces for posters and banners and public premises for campaign events, and to communicate them to the zonal electoral board. The process begins with the call approved by Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, published in the BOE on October 6.

The three minutes were closed on different dates: the Zonal Electoral Board of Chiclana de la Frontera, chaired by María Grimi Bujanda and with María del Pilar Álvarez-Campana Osborne as secretary, approved the list on October 14; that of Arcos de la Frontera, led by María Fernández Nimo, on October 16; and that of San Roque, whose secretary is Ana María Mena Rojas, via edict on October 16. The agreements are referred to the Provincial Electoral Board and the Government Delegation in Cádiz.

Conil reserves the Torre de Guzmán and 350 lampposts on the coast

The Chiclana board validates the spaces provided by Chiclana de la Frontera, Conil de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera, and Barbate. In Chiclana, the schools José de la Vega (approx. 400 people), Serafina Andrade, Giner de los Ríos, El Trovador, and the Alameda courtyard are offered, usable outside of school hours.

In Conil, the following stand out:

Arcos opens squares and school courtyards until midnight

The Arcos act groups seventeen municipalities from the mountains and the countryside. In Arcos de la Frontera, public squares—except those of the Monumental Complex—and school courtyards are authorized from 10:00 to 00:00 hours. In Villamartín, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (from November 13 to 26, from 10:00 to 22:00), the Teatro on San Francisco Street, El Boulevard, the Pista Deportiva de la Loma, and the Casa de la Cultura are reserved.

In Ubrique, the capacities are:

  • Salón de Actos Culturales del Ayuntamiento, 105 people, from 17:00 to 00:00.
  • Plaza de la Constitución, 195 people.
  • Plaza Salón de Actos Culturales, 172 people.
  • Plaza San Antonio, 69 people.

Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas, Algodonales, Bornos, Prado del Rey, Grazalema, and Villaluenga del Rosario complete the list with assembly halls, squares, and wooden panels.

La Línea reserves the Convention Center and the sports pavilion

The San Roque board publishes the spaces for Castellar de la Frontera, Jimena de la Frontera, La Línea de la Concepción, San Martín del Tesorillo, and San Roque. In La Línea, the following are offered:

  • Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones, 1,000 people, on November 17 from 16:00.
  • Teatro Paseo de la Velada, 333 people, on November 16, 19, and 23.
  • Pabellón Municipal de Deportes, 2,000 seats, on the 20th and 27th, from 20:00 to 22:00.

Jimena has the Plaza Constitución (1,000 spaces), the Pabellón Municipal (900), and the Parque Práxedes Gómez (900), among others. Castellar provides the CEIP Tierno Galván, the Instituto Almoraima, the Plaza de Derechos Humanos, and 40 six-meter lampposts on the road to the Barriada La Almoraima.

Panels, insurance, and removal within fifteen days

Propaganda must be placed on the designated panels and distributed according to the proportional calculation set by the electoral board based on the results of each formation. Parties using lampposts or banners must take out civil liability insurance and submit the policy before the start of the campaign, and remove the advertising within a maximum period of fifteen days after the elections. In Barbate, it is also reminded that the formations assume the costs of installation and removal of platforms.

The distribution directly affects candidates and residents: it determines where rallies and information tables can be held and which streets will be occupied by banners during the two weeks of the campaign, with schedules that in several municipalities extend until midnight.
