Llodio abre el plazo de solicitudes del comedor para personas mayores

The Llodio City Council has opened the application period for the municipal dining service for elderly people, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava (BOTHA) number 113, dated October 2, 2026, within section II of Local Administration (official reference 2026-02761). Applications may be submitted from October 5 to October 15, 2026, both inclusive, and the service will be provided from November 2, 2026, to February 26, 2027. The announcement is signed by the Mayor-President, Ainize Gastaka Martínez, dated September 24, 2026.

The call is supported by the municipal ordinance regulating the dining service for elderly people, in effect since August 25, 2026, and published in BOTHA number 88, dated August 3, 2026. Article 8 is the provision that enables the opening of the application period for users. The economic framework of the service was established through the modification of ordinance number 9, regulating municipal public prices, approved by the Plenary of the Llodio City Council in the session of August 31, 2026 (file 2026/3918) and published in BOTHA number 103, dated September 9, 2026, which incorporated section XIII dedicated to this benefit.

Who can apply for the service

The announcement details the recipients of the benefit:

  • People over 60 years of age registered in the City Council of Laudio/Llodio.
  • People with the capacity to feed themselves autonomously or through the assistance of a caregiver, who must accompany the user.
  • Spouse or person linked by an analogous affective situation with official recognition (domestic partner).
  • Person living with the beneficiary up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity.
  • Members of the living unit who depend directly on the user.

Deadline, documentation, and place of submission

The period will remain open from October 5 to October 15, 2026, both inclusive. The required documentation is as follows:

  • Application form.
  • DNI/NIF and family book.
  • Passport-sized photograph.
  • Income tax return or documentation proving annual income.
  • Documentation proving the affective relationship when access is accessory by marriage or analogous relationship (family book, marriage certificate, registration in the domestic partnership registry, etc.).
  • Proof of affective cohabitation and economic resources in the case of persons dependent on the primary user who lack sufficient resources to ensure adequate maintenance.

Applications shall be submitted to the General Registry of the Llodio City Council (Citizen Service), from 8:00 to 14:30 every day and, on Mondays and Thursdays, in continuous hours from 8:00 to 19:00.

Service prices and calendar

The service will be active from November 2, 2026, to February 26, 2027, and will not be provided on weekends, public holidays, or during the Christmas holiday period. The general public price is 7.00 euros per menu, VAT excluded, with reduced rates based on the income of the household unit:

  • 3.00 euros per menu for income below the maximum guaranteed income.
  • 4.00 euros per menu for income equal to the maximum guaranteed income and below 1.5 times its amount.
  • 6.00 euros per menu for income above 1.5 times and below double the maximum guaranteed income.
  • 7.00 euros per menu for income above double the maximum guaranteed income.

As a reference for 2026, the amount of the maximum guaranteed income is 1,107.84 euros per month for household units of one pensioner, 1,399.38 euros for two, and 1,574.30 euros for three. Payment will be made via direct debit or any of the means accepted by the city council, with monthly settlements based on the meals actually consumed.

The implementation of this dining hall responds to the aging population of Llodio and the municipal desire to promote active and healthy aging. For registered elderly people and their families, the service provides a balanced menu alternative at a price adjusted to income and direct support for autonomy and remaining in their usual environment during the winter months.
