What the TNR method regulates
The ordinance establishes the management protocol for feline colonies in the municipality using the TNR method, which combines the trapping of animals, their sterilization, and their return to the original environment. The regulation will be applied throughout the municipal district of Llanos del Caudillo.
The same City Council maintains another regulatory process open: the modification of the Fiscal Ordinance regulating the urban solid waste collection fee, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 168, dated September 2, 2026, with file LLANOS2026/1383.
Impact for residents
The initial approval opens the door for residents and animal protection entities of the municipality to influence the final text before it comes into force. If no objections are filed, the ordinance will be automatically approved and published in full in the provincial bulletin, at which point it will take effect.
