Por FactBox Admin

The Third Vice-Presidency and Department of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery of the Generalitat Valenciana has admitted for processing and submitted for public information the declaration of community interest for a use and exploitation attribution on non-urbanizable land intended for tourist accommodation in the municipality of Llíber (Alicante). The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10436, dated August 25, 2026, within section V of Announcements, under the Territory Planning and Urbanism section.

The file, identified as DIC-25/0602, is promoted by the company Futur Garden Costa Blanca, SL, and affects plot 11 of polygon 10 of the Alicante municipality. The processing complies with the consolidated text of Law 5/2014, of July 25, of the Generalitat, on territory planning, urbanism and landscape, which regulates actions of community interest on non-urbanizable land.

The project is submitted for public information in accordance with section a) of article 223.4 of the aforementioned legal text, for a period of twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the edict in the DOGV. During this period, any interested party may examine the project documentation.

How to consult the file

The documentation can be examined through the Digital Urban Planning Platform, via the link enabled by the Generalitat’s tactical office. In case of problems with electronic access, interested parties may contact the Territorial Urbanism Service of Alicante via the PROP telephone 012 (963.866.000), citing the corresponding DIC reference.

The announcement was signed in Alicante on August 3, 2026, by Juan Pedro Carrión Ribera, head of the Territorial Urbanism Service of Alicante, as the competent body for the processing of the file.

Relevance for the territory

The declaration of community interest is an urban planning figure that allows singular uses and exploitations on non-urbanizable land when reasons of general interest concur. In this case, the implementation of a tourist accommodation in the interior of the Marina Alta connects directly with the territorial model and the boom in rural tourism in the region, an expanding sector that coexists with the protection of rustic land.

The final resolution of the file will depend on the allegations presented during the public information process and the technical report from the territorial service, in a procedure that illustrates the balance between tourism development and land-use planning in the Valencian Community.
