Listas provisionales de las 35 plazas de Agente de la Policía Local

The General Secretariat of Interior, Emergencies and Civil Protection of the Junta de Extremadura has declared the provisional lists of admitted and excluded persons approved in the open competitive selection process, through the Single Tribunal, for the provision of 35 Local Police Agent positions in Extremaduran city councils. The measure is detailed in the Resolution of October 22, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE no. 206, of October 26, 2026, reference 2026062685). The agreement opens a period of ten business days to file claims or correct the defects that led to exclusion.

The process began with the Order of September 1, 2026 (DOE no. 170, of September 2, reference 2026050101), signed by the vice president and counselor Abel Bautista Morán, which convened the unified selection process. The fourth clause of that call required the head of the General Secretariat to issue, within a maximum period of two months from the end of the application submission period, a resolution with the provisional alphabetical list of admitted and excluded persons and the causes for exclusion.

The legal framework consists of Law 7/2017, of August 1, on the Coordination of Local Police of Extremadura, which in its article 46.3 enables single processes through a Single Tribunal, and Decree 64/2022, of June 8, which regulates the selection systems and said tribunal. The competence in the coordination of local police corresponds to the signing General Secretariat by virtue of Decree 105/2026, of May 26, on the organic structure of the Vice Presidency and Ministry of Presidency, Coordination of Government Action, Interior and Emergencies. The immediate precedent is the first unified process, convened by Order of April 27, 2023, for 61 positions.

472 admitted applicants and 23 excluded

Annex I of the resolution contains the alphabetical list of provisionally admitted persons, with a total of 472 rows and identity documents partially hidden. Annex II contains the list of provisionally excluded persons, totaling 23 applicants, each with the code of the cause motivating their exclusion.

The resolution, signed in Mérida by the general secretary Fernando Jesús Manzano Pedrera, also orders the full publication of the text and its annexes on the website of the Public Security Academy of Extremadura and in the enabled procedure on the electronic office of the Junta de Extremadura.

Three causes for exclusion and ten days to correct

Annex II codes the reasons and the way to correct them:

  • Code 1: missing proof of payment of the fee; corrected by providing said proof. Affects 2 people.
  • Code 2: application not provided or the one submitted is incomplete, defective, or illegible; corrected by providing the form duly completed, signed, legible, and with the supporting documentation. Affects 3 people.
  • Code 3: incorrect fee amount; corrected with proof of payment of the correct amount. Affects 18 people.

The deadline is ten business days starting from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of Extremadura. Those who do not correct the defect or file a claim justifying their right to be among those admitted will be definitively excluded. Claims will be considered resolved upon the publication of the final lists, and those who have detected errors in their personal data may report them within the same period.

The 35 positions, distributed among twenty municipalities

The called positions correspond to the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Local Police Class, Group C, Subgroup C1, and are distributed as follows:

  • Azuaga and Badajoz, with 4 positions each; Montijo, with 4.
  • Alburquerque, with 3.
  • Cáceres, Madrigal de la Vera, Monesterio, and Torremejía, with 2 positions each.
  • Aceuchal, Almendralejo, Arroyo de la Luz, Burguillos del Cerro, Campanario, Ceclavín, Losar de la Vera, Maguilla, Puebla de la Calzada, Talarrubias, Torrejoncillo, and Trujillo, with 1 position each.

Among the required requirements are Spanish nationality, being 18 years of age, holding a High School (Bachiller) or Technical degree, passing the physical and psychological conditions, and holding driving licenses of classes A2 and B before the start of the selection course at the Public Security Academy of Extremadura.

The process directly affects the 495 applicants listed in the provisional lists and, indirectly, the twenty city councils that delegated the selection of their police staff to the Regional Government (Junta). The publication of the final lists, once claims are resolved, will fix the actual number of applicants who will participate in the competitive examination phase and determine the final coverage of positions that reinforce the Local Police staff in rural areas and in the main cities of the region.
