Final list of admitted candidates for eight A1 positions at the Provincial Council

The Provincial Council of Jaén has made public the final list of admitted applicants for the provision of eight career civil servant positions in Group A, Subgroup A.1, General Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, through the open competitive examination system. The decision was adopted by Resolution no. 2923, dated September 7, 2026, by the Deputy for Human Resources, Ms. Pilar Parra Ruiz, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) of Jaén no. 174, dated September 8, 2026 (page 13355).

A process that began in 2026

The positions are included in the public employment offers of the Provincial Council of Jaén and its autonomous bodies corresponding to the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. The rules of the call were published in BOP de Jaén no. 1, dated January 2, 2026, and the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants was approved by Resolution no. 1827, dated May 28, 2026 (BOP no. 104, dated June 1, 2026), under file ERH51-2025/10608.

After the deadline for correcting deficiencies ended, the now-published resolution declares the applicants who passed the phase as definitively admitted, and excludes the rest for failing to correct the reasons for exclusion within the deadline or correctly.

A list with hundreds of applicants

The final list of admitted candidates, which spans several pages of the gazette, brings together hundreds of applicants from across the province vying for the eight positions in the technical scale. Among those admitted, by way of example, are Joaquín Aguilar Benítez, Rosana Aguilar García, Mónica Aguilera Rojas, Francisco Ramón Aguirre Pérez, María Alaminos Anaya, or José Luis Alonso Cuevas, along with numerous candidates with surnames such as García, Jiménez, López, Martínez, Molina, Muñoz, Pérez, Rodríguez, or Ruiz.

Constitution of the tribunal and calendar

The Qualifying Tribunal, in accordance with the Sixth Rule of the call, will be constituted on September 23, 2026, at 08:30 hours in the Videoconference Room of the Provincial Council of Jaén, and will determine the date of the first exercise, which will be published on the Electronic Office (Notice Board) and, for informational purposes, on the Corporation’s website. The tribunal is composed of:

• President: titular Alberto de la Fuente Arrabal; substitute Raúl Sánchez Sáenz de Burruaga.
• Members: titulars Eva Marín Cabrera, Antonio López Cantarero, and Mª del Mar Fernández Serrano, with their respective substitutes.
• Secretary: titular Luisa Mª Espinosa Machado; substitute Ana Fernández Carretero.

Appeals and channels for challenge

This resolution exhausts the administrative route. Interested parties may, optionally, file a request for reversal (recurso de reposición) within one month before the Honorable President of the Corporation, or file a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Court of the province of Jaén, provided that both appeals are not filed simultaneously, in accordance with Law 7/1985 and Law 39/2015.

The publication of this final list represents a decisive step for hundreds of candidates aspiring to stable public employment in the provincial administration, and opens the final stretch of a selection process that will define access to eight technical positions at the Provincial Council of Jaén (Diputación de Jaén).
