Final list of admitted candidates for eight Administrative positions in Castro Urdiales

The City Council of Castro Urdiales has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants in the selection process for the provision of eight positions for General Administration Clerk (Subgroup C1), through the internal promotion competition-examination system. The resolution, signed by Mayor Susana Herrán Martín on August 26, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 169, dated September 2, 2026, with reference CVE-2026-6852.

Framework of the selection process

The process corresponds to the Public Employment Offer 2021 and 2023 and is processed under file 59271/2023. Of the eight positions announced, six are offered through the general shift and two are reserved for the disability shift.

The rules and the call for applications were published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria via announcement number 252, dated December 31, 2024, and subsequently in the Official State Gazette number 20, dated January 23, 2025, with a correction of errors published in number 27, dated January 31, 2025. The provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants was announced in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 52, dated March 17, 2026.

Final list of admitted applicants

After resolving the allegations and claims filed against the provisional list, the final list is approved by decree number 4311/2026, which consists of the following individuals:

• General shift (21 admitted): María Antonia Caparros Azpiazu, María Ángeles Enrique Gutiérrez, Ainhoa Esteban Pedrueza, María García Cámara, Susana Gutiérrez Astola, Cristina Insausti Martínez, Isabel Lazcano Olavarrieta, Miguel Ángel Liendo Dogen, María Elena López Arriola, Cristina López Prieto, Susana María Mañas Álvarez, José Ángel Martínez Llano, Ana Isabel Martínez López, Ana Morlote Riega, Rosa María Nieto Berjillos, Francisco Javier Ocejo Helguera, María José Parrondo Gómez, María Carmen Prieto Maña, Rosa María Ruiz García, Eloisa Clara Ten Villar and María Covadonga Zubizarreta Rodríguez de la Flor.
• Disability shift (3 admitted): Begoña Diez Martín, Ignacio Jauregui Arescurnaga and Manuela Nieto Berjillos.

Excluded applicants

The resolution also includes the list of excluded persons, a total of thirteen, among whom are Pedro José Aguirre Bedialauneta, María Gloria Aguirre Gabancho, Miguel Ángel Cano Ulanga, Beatriz Enrique Gutiérrez, Óscar García Saiz, Luis Miguel Herraiz Martínez, José Lastra Calera, María Isabel León López, Lourdes Nevares Santos, Gonzalo Reyero Tejido, Liván Usallán Méndez, Laura Hurtado Larrea and Francisco Javier Martínez Auzmendia.

The cause for the exclusion of all these individuals is the failure to comply with the requirement set forth in the first base, section 5, of the regulatory bases of the call.

Publication and continuity of the process

The resolution is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria and on the Electronic Office of the City Council of Castro Urdiales, under the terms provided in the regulatory bases, and the processing of the selection process continues. With the approval of this final list, the admission phase is closed, a preliminary step to the holding of the competitive examination tests.

The publication represents a relevant advance for the applicants, who now know their status in the process on a final basis, and brings the municipality closer to filling eight administrative staff positions, a significant reinforcement for the municipal workforce within the framework of the 2021 and 2023 Public Employment Offer.
