Tender issued for 285 million in consultancy for rural pavements in Aysén

The Aysén Region Road Directorate, under the Undersecretariat of Public Works of the Ministry of Public Works, has called for a digital public tender to contract advisory services for the fiscal inspection of rural pavement conservation in the province of General Carrera. The process is handled electronically through the www.mercadopublico.cl platform and was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile (No. 44,527, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Section IV, CVE 2852710).

The contract, identified as No. 434,134 and Mercado Público ID No. 5283-10-O126, has an estimated budget of $285,815,534 (excluding VAT), financed by Sectoral Funds. It will be governed by a Unit Price contract with CPI Adjustments and will have an execution period of 10 months.

Object of the advisory

The tender corresponds to an advisory contract for the fiscal inspection of two rural pavement conservation works in the province of General Carrera:

• Rural Pavement Conservation Route 7, Bahía Mansa sector, between km 827.600 and 834.658.
• Rural Pavement Conservation Route 265 CH, Puente El Maqui sector, between km 13.994 and 23.077.

The works include the execution of resurfacing with crushed material, cement stabilization, a double surface treatment as a protective layer, cuts in TCN and rock, as well as lateral vertical signage and markings, among other items.

Requirements and schedule

Consulting firms registered in the MOP Consultants Registry that certify Specialty 7.1 Road Works and Airports in 1st Superior Category may participate. The terms and conditions and background documents will be available exclusively on the www.mercadopublico.cl portal, with no sale of documents or delivery of physical terms.

The process schedule is as follows:

• Publication on Mercado Público: 08/18/2026.
• Deadline for inquiries: until 08/26/2026, 11:59 PM.
• Responses to inquiries: no later than 09/04/2026, 11:59 PM.
• Closing of technical and economic bid reception: 09/11/2026, 3:00 PM.
• Opening of technical bids: 09/11/2026, 3:01 PM.
• Opening of economic bids: 09/23/2026, 3:01 PM.

Clarifications will be provided no later than the business day immediately preceding the opening of the technical proposals, and the Continental Chile time zone must be considered.

Relevance for Patagonia

The call for bids, signed by the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Public Works for the Aysén Region, reinforces connectivity in one of the country’s most isolated areas, where the rural road network is strategic for the transport of people, goods, and services. The maintenance of sections of routes 7 and 265 CH in General Carrera is key to the development of Patagonia, and the advisory services for the fiscal inspection will guarantee the technical control of works that combine soil stabilization, surface treatments, and signage.
