Jak Ksari Rural High School opens minor bidding process to build its educational infrastructure

The Administrative Board of the Jak Ksari Rural High School, located in Turrialba, Chirripó, invites natural and legal persons to participate in Minor Tender No. 003-2026, the purpose of which is the contracting of services for the construction of educational infrastructure buildings and complementary works. The announcement was published in La Gaceta No. 172 on Friday, September 11, 2026, page 145, under official reference IN202601126086.

The procedure is processed in accordance with Costa Rican public procurement regulations and is aimed at contractors interested in construction works for the rural education sector. The receipt of bids will take place until 11:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026, and the opening and reception act will take place on that same day at 11:00 AM at the facilities of the Kabebata Rural High School, 8 kilometers southwest of the community of Grano de Oro, north side of the Alto Quetzal health center.

Scope of the works

The project contemplates the construction of educational infrastructure buildings according to a defined prototype, in addition to atypical and complementary works. The main components include:

• Atypical works: cultural ranch and civic plaza.
• Classroom prototype: 4 grouped academic classrooms of 72 m², English language classroom of 72 m², library of 72 m², administration office of 84 m², type 2 sanitary services battery of 72 m², dining hall of 72 m², and security booth of 31 m².
• Complementary works: covered walkway, potable water tank tower, flagpole, perimeter fencing, walls, earthworks and slope shaping, biological stations, garden bench sets, railings, reconfiguration of existing road, demolitions, evacuation routes, parking, photovoltaic system, electrical feeds and panels, exterior lighting, fire alarm, gas detection, structured cabling, school bell, potable water, sewage and storm water systems, and fire protection system.

Calendar and requirements

The procedure includes a site visit on September 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Following the publication, a list of potential bidders will be compiled for the communication of relevant information regarding the process. Interested parties may request the bidding terms and technical information via the Board’s email: 3008243406@junta.mep.go.cr, while general information and documentation are managed through 3008680883@junta.mep.go.cr.
