Les Borges Blanques fitxa Marc Martí Vilalta com a agent interí de la Policia Local

The City Council of les Borges Blanques has resolved the appointment of Marc Martí Vilalta as an interim officer of the municipality’s Local Police force, effective from November 2, 2026. The decision was adopted through Mayoral Decree 2026-0970, dated October 30, 2026, signed by Mayor Josep Ramon Farran Belart, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida no. 210, dated November 3, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_210_9148. The announcement is made public “for general knowledge” in the Local Administration – City Councils section.

Coverage of a vacant position in the force

The decree justifies the appointment based on the need to “cover the staffing needs that exist within the local police officer force.” Therefore, it concerns a vacant position on the staff assigned on an interim basis until its definitive coverage is resolved.

The characteristics of the published appointment are as follows:

  • Appointed person: Marc Martí Vilalta, with DNI *8024.
  • Type of appointment: interim to occupy a vacant position, in accordance with article 10.1.a of the TREBEP.
  • Position: F22.
  • Category: local police officer, classification group C1.
  • Working day: 100% of the ordinary working day.
  • Effective date: November 2, 2026.

Assigned remuneration

The decree details the monthly remuneration that the new officer will receive, broken down into three basic concepts of the local public service remuneration system:

  • Base salary: 900.63 euros.
  • Destination supplement: 550.01 euros.
  • Specific supplement: 1,000.79 euros.
  • Monthly total: 2,451.43 euros, to which the proportional part of the extraordinary payment will be added when applicable.

These amounts correspond to the full-time schedule established in the decree and do not include any other supplement, as the published announcement does not detail any further.

Duration linked to the vacant position

The appointment does not have a fixed end date. According to the published text, it extends from November 2, 2026 “until the position is filled by a career civil servant or is amortized,” with a maximum limit of three years, under the terms of article 10.4 of the TREBEP. The link, therefore, remains conditional on the resolution of the corresponding selection process or the municipal decision to suppress the position.

The publicity of the resolution is based on articles 55.f and 94.3 of Decree 214/1990, which approves the Personnel Regulations of local entities, and articles 53.1.i and 291.3 of Legislative Decree 2/2003, of April 28, which approves the Recast Text of the Municipal and Local Regime Law of Catalonia.

This temporary provision formula is common in the district’s town halls during staff renewal periods. In the same weeks, the provincial bulletin has recorded appointments of trainee police officers from other councils, such as Tàrrega, which have incorporated agents linked to the Police School of Catalonia.

A temporary reinforcement for the municipal service

The appointment of Marc Martí Vilalta allows the Local Police force of Les Borges Blanques to have one more full-time officer while position F22 remains unfilled by a career civil servant. For residents, the measure translates into an immediate reinforcement of the municipal security and surveillance service, but also into the confirmation that the municipality’s police staff still has positions pending definitive coverage. The decree sets a ceiling of three years, meaning that the consolidation of the workforce will depend on the pace of the selection processes convened by the Town Hall.
