Lawyer Charlotte Kjærgaard loses Svendborg court beneficium from January 2027
Por FactBox Admin

Charlotte Kjærgaard, an advokat practising from Ringe, is released from her beneficium at the Retten i Svendborg with effect from 1 January 2027. The change is announced in Statstidende of 23 October 2026, in the appointments and dismissals listing, under reference S21102026-305. The entry is a single sentence naming the lawyer, her professional title and her town, and it takes effect at the start of the new year.
The notice sits in the gazette’s Diverse · Afskedigelser og udnævnelser category, the standing channel through which Denmark’s official gazette records changes to the corps of practising lawyers. A beneficium is the court-level appointment that makes a lawyer available for defence and counsel assignments ordered by that court; being released from it ends that availability in the named jurisdiction. Statstidende carries these entries as short, formal statements rather than as reasoned decisions.
What the notice states
The full operative text reads: “Nedennævnte er med virkning fra den 1. januar 2027 fritaget for sit beneficium ved Retten i Svendborg.” The particulars published are limited to the following:
- Lawyer: Charlotte Kjærgaard
- Title: advokat
- Town: Ringe
- Court: Retten i Svendborg
- Effective date: 1 January 2027
- Publication: Statstidende, 23 October 2026
- Reference: S21102026-305
The entry gives no reason for the release, no case number and no stated end date. It also says nothing about her advokatbeskikkelse in general; the operative effect is confined to the beneficium at Retten i Svendborg.
A recurring entry in the same register
Releases of this kind appear at intervals in the same listing. On 2 September 2026 the gazette carried an identically worded notice for Karen Gøtzsche, advokat in Nykøbing Falster, released from her beneficium at the Retten i Nykøbing Falster with effect from 31 December 2026, under reference S31082026-46. The two entries share the same template, the same placement and the same brevity.
The same category also records the other movements in the profession. In its 22 October 2026 issue, Statstidende published appointments of new advokater made by Justitsministeren on 20 October 2026, among them Maria Nordahl Hansen of København, Mads Strandberg Pedersen of Kongens Lyngby, Emil Ellebjerg Strøm Larsen of Albertslund and Isabella Kastrup of Aarhus. The same pages record advokatbeskikkelser deposited with Civilstyrelsen with effect from 1 November 2026, including those of Christine Friedlænder of Farum and Ditte Bach Andersen of København.
Effect at Svendborg from the new year
From 1 January 2027, Charlotte Kjærgaard can no longer be appointed to defence or counsel work through the beneficium at Retten i Svendborg. The court’s pool of beneficium lawyers in that jurisdiction is reduced by one, and assignments that would otherwise have gone to her practice in Ringe will fall to other lawyers on the Svendborg roster.
The timing places the change at the turn of the year rather than mid-term, giving the court and the local bar a clean cut-off. Because the notice is published more than two months before it takes effect, parties and practitioners in pending Svendborg matters have the full interval to note the date.
For readers in and around Svendborg, the practical consequence is narrow but concrete: a named lawyer leaves the court’s appointed-counsel list on a fixed date, and the public record of that fact is the gazette entry itself. Anyone holding a Svendborg assignment expected to run past the new year should check who is on the roster from 1 January 2027.
