Álava tenders the maintenance of the cadastral system for 309,760 euros

The Foral Government Council of the Provincial Council of Álava approved on September 22, 2026, the procurement file, via open procedure, for technical assistance for the support and maintenance of the cadastral information system. Agreement 583/2026 sets a maximum budget of 309,760.00 euros, VAT included, and an execution period of two years. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava (BOTHA) number 112, dated September 30, 2026, in the summary of provisions approved by the Foral Government Council (reference 2026-02738).

The file is promoted by the Department of Treasury, Finance, and Budgets, which is competent in cadastral matters within the territory. The cadastral information system supports the management of property data in Álava, for which taxpayer services are provided by the Local Taxes and Cadastre Service of the Provincial Council of Álava, located at calle Samaniego 14 in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The approval of the expenditure enables the public tender for the service, which must cover technical support and system maintenance during the two planned years.

A session with several technological tenders

The same ordinary session on September 22, 2026, approved other contracts. Agreement 590/2026 authorized repair and maintenance work for infrastructure in the protected spaces of Álava’s natural heritage, with 239,891.00 euros, VAT included, and three years of execution, at the proposal of the Department of Economic Development and Sustainability. Agreement 586/2026 gave the green light to budget modifications for the item “Digital Transformation Treasury CCASA. ERDF. CCA” for the years 2026 and 2030.

The Provincial Council had already tendered several IT services in the session of September 1, 2026, published in BOTHA number 103, dated September 9, 2026:

• Agreement 558/2026: support and maintenance of Oracle licenses for the Provincial Council of Álava, 513,040.00 euros, VAT included, from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028.
• Agreement 557/2026: renewal of the subscription and maintenance of Autodesk products, 482,556.31 euros, VAT included, from January 23, 2027, to January 22, 2030.
• Agreement 556/2026: telephone call center service for the Provincial Council of Álava, 321,860.00 euros, VAT included, between January 1, 2027, and December 31, 2028.

A contract open to technology companies

The open procedure allows any company in the technology sector that proves its capacity to assume the support and maintenance of the cadastral system to compete. The amount and term constitute a multi-year service contract, with two years of execution, and the maximum budget already includes VAT, thus setting the spending ceiling for the tender.

The continuity of the cadastral information system directly affects tax management and property data across the entire territory, so the contract guarantees the operation of the service upon which taxpayers and the administrations that consult cadastral information depend. For technology companies, the tender opens a two-year contract worth over 300,000 euros in a field—the cadastral—subject to digitalization processes.
