Laura Alejos Palomo, new advisor to the Environment cabinet

The Department of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon has appointed Ms. Laura Alejos Palomo as an advisor to the counselor’s cabinet, a position of trust with political relevance within the regional Executive. This is established by ORDER MAT/1288/2026, dated August 26, signed by counselor Luis Francisco Biendicho Gracia, and published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 174, dated September 8, 2026, within section II on Authorities and Personnel.
The new advisor will occupy RPT position number 15844 of the cabinet of the counselor of Environment and Tourism, effective from August 27, 2026. The position is part of the discretionary and trust-based appointments that directly assist the political leadership of the department.
Regulatory framework of the appointment
The order is issued in accordance with Decree 125/1991, dated August 1, of the General Deputation of Aragon, which regulates the cabinets of the counselors, and with the provisions of article 5.2.c) of Decree 208/1999, dated November 17, of the Government of Aragon, regarding the distribution of personnel competencies among the bodies of the regional Administration.
The legal framework is completed by article 28 of Legislative Decree 1/2022, dated April 6, of the Government of Aragon, which approves the consolidated text of the Law of the President and the Government of Aragon. The resolution also orders the publication of the appointment in the official gazette, in compliance with article 28.5 of said consolidated text.
A position of trust in the Aragonese Executive
Cabinet advisors are positions of special trust that provide direct support to the political leadership of each department, without being part of the ordinary administrative structure of civil servants. Their appointment is the responsibility of the head of the department, and their termination occurs automatically upon that of the counselor.
