Election boards reserve free venues for the 29N campaign
Por FactBox Admin

The Zonal Electoral Boards of Teruel, Alcañiz, and Calamocha have established the official premises and public spaces that city councils reserve free of charge for the holding of campaign events for the general elections of November 29, 2026. The three lists are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 202, dated October 21, 2026, within the Official Bodies section, with references 2026-3055 (Teruel), 2026-3049 (Alcañiz), and 2026-3071 (Calamocha).
The publication is based on Article 57 of the Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), which requires city councils to communicate the available publicly owned premises and the zonal boards to establish them and order their publication. The municipal submission deadline ended at 24:00 hours on October 16, as specified in the agreement of the Zonal Electoral Board of Teruel, and the electoral campaign extends, according to the calendar included in the same announcement, from November 13 to 27, both inclusive.
Three lists and three zonal boards
Each board certifies its own jurisdiction with an electronically signed document dated October 19 and 20:
- Zonal Electoral Board of Teruel, reference 2026-3055, signed by secretary Reyes Quiñones Torres on October 19: a list of more than a hundred municipalities, from Ababuj to La Zoma.
- Zonal Electoral Board of Alcañiz, reference 2026-3049, signed by secretary Soraya Sánchez Fanlo on October 19: 60 municipalities, from Aguaviva to Vinaceite.
- Zonal Electoral Board of Calamocha, reference 2026-3071, signed by secretary María del Pilar Rubio Velasco on October 20: 61 numbered municipalities, from Alacón to Vivel del Río Martín.
Teruel capital: five spaces and municipal preference
The Teruel City Council details its spaces by time slots, with one express exception: if it coincides with a municipal activity, the latter will be given preference.
- From November 13 to 27, from 10:00 to 22:00 hours: Auditorio del Parque de los Fueros, Plaza de Pérez Prado (Plaza del Seminario, interior), Plaza Amantes, and the bullring.
- Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 22:00 hours: Frontón Pinilla.
- Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 22:00 hours, and Monday to Friday from 20:30 to 22:00 hours: Centro Social del Arrabal.
In the rest of the area, the schedules are very disparate: Calomarde offers its session hall only on Tuesday and Friday mornings, Corbalán limits it to 9:00 PM, Alobras is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Celadas refers to prior agreement via formal request. Some town councils indicate capacity, such as Cuevas de Almudén (40 spaces), Hinojosa de Jarque (60), Jarque de la Val (50), and Mezquita de Jarque (30).
Alcañiz and Calamocha: exclusions and municipalities without premises
The Zonal Electoral Board of Alcañiz warns that, for the town halls that did not communicate their spaces, those from the last electoral process are taken as a basis and it is understood that the use will be «every day and hour». In the capital of Alcañiz, they reserve the Municipal Theater, the multipurpose room of the Liceo, the auditorium of the Palacio Ardid, and the plot of the former unions, with specific exclusions: the theater will not be available on November 14 and 21, the Palacio Ardid is excluded on the 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, and the Liceo on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th.
In the Calamocha area, the list is numbered and contains two incidents: Salcedillo appears as a municipality that «does not have available locations» and Torre de las Arcas has not communicated any premises nor does it appear in previous elections. The capital of Calamocha reserves the Casa de Cultura (En Medio Street, former library) and the Teatro Auditorio on Avenida de Valencia.
Impact for parties and residents
The publication turns these venues into the mandatory framework for electoral propaganda in the province: parties and candidates now know where they can hold events free of charge and at what times, and the residents of the affected municipalities know which public buildings will be occupied during the campaign. The reservation is free and for preferential use for electoral purposes, although it yields to ordinary municipal activity in the expressly indicated cases.
