Election boards establish venues and propaganda spaces for the 2026 elections
Por FactBox Admin

The zonal electoral boards of Soria, El Burgo de Osma, and Almazán have designated the public venues for campaign events and the locations for posting posters, banners, and streamers for the 2026 elections to the Congress of Deputies and the Senate. The three edicts, approved in a session on October 19, 2026, are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria (BOPSO) no. 121, dated October 21, 2026, under the official reference BOPSO-121-21102026. The list affects parties, candidates, and residents of dozens of municipalities in the province.
The edicts are issued in compliance with the provisions of articles 56.1 and 57.1 of the L.O.R.E.G., which require electoral boards to determine the official venues and public places available for the campaign, as well as the spaces reserved for electoral propaganda. The texts are signed by the secretaries of each board: Antonia Pomeda Iglesias for Soria, Ana Castel Frías for El Burgo de Osma, and Vicenta Irene Sánchez Jerónimo for Almazán.
Soria capital: 274 lampposts and 25 boards
In the capital, the Zonal Electoral Board of Soria reserves the Gaya Nuño Cultural Center (126 seats) and the Palacio de la Audiencia, in its Conference Room (80 seats), for campaign events. For posters, 25 boards measuring 2.40 meters wide by 1.22 meters high will be provisionally installed on the perimeter of the San Andrés Municipal Sports Center, 13 of them on Paseo de San Andrés and 12 on Eduardo Saavedra.
The distribution of the 274 public lighting lampposts enabled for banners and streamers is as follows:
- C/ Eduardo Saavedra: 64 lampposts.
- Avda. de Valladolid: 61 lampposts.
- C/ Almazán, Mariano Vicén, and Alfonso VIII: 68 lampposts.
- Plaza de los Jurados: 1 lamppost.
- C/ San Benito, C/ Tejera, C/ Santo Tomé, C/ Hospicio, and Plaza Tirso de Molina: 68 lampposts.
- Las Casas: 22 lampposts.
El Burgo de Osma and Almazán: classrooms, teleclubs, and frontons
The Zonal Electoral Board of El Burgo de Osma enables the Multi-Purpose Room on the ground floor of the Town Hall, with entrance via C/ Banda de Música, and the Multipurpose Center. For posters, information fences are reserved at C/ La Solana 11, C/ Real 1, C/ Los Linares (confluence with the N-122), C/ Acosta opposite the Medical Center, C/ Quinto Centenario 11, C/ Universidad next to the school, C/ San Agustín, C/ Daniel García Moral, C/ Fco. Federico, and Avda. Santos Iruela next to the heated pools. Banners and streamers will be hung on 30 lampposts on C/ Universidad, 13 on Avda. Juan Carlos I, and 41 on Carretera Valladolid, in Osma. In the outlying districts (pedanías), the former town halls are enabled (Alcubilla del Marqués, Barcebal, Barcebalejo, Berzosa, Lodares de Osma, La Olmeda, La Rasa, Torralba del Burgo, Santiuste, Valdelubiel, Valdenarros, and Vildé) as well as the Multi-Purpose House of Osma.
The Zonal Electoral Board of Almazán reserves the San Vicente Culture Classroom (C/ Las Monjas, 2), the Tirso de Molina Cultural Center (Plaza de los Olmos, s/n), and the Bullring during daytime hours, all subject to prior request. Posters will be placed on panels of the fence on C/ General Martínez and banners on lampposts on Avda. de Soria, Ronda de San Francisco, C/ Ferial, C/ Antonio Machado, Avda. Burgo de Osma, Avda. Salazar y Torres, Avda. de Madrid, and Carretera de Gómara, with advertising on the bollards upon request by the parties.
Varying capacities and schedules in rural areas
The availability of spaces varies significantly between municipalities, both in capacity and schedule:
- Alcubilla de Avellaneda: Town Hall assembly hall, 200 people, from 10:00 to 22:00 hours every day.
- Vinuesa: municipal hall of the Town Hall, approximately 350 people.
- Berlanga de Duero: Town Hall assembly hall, 100 people, from 17:00 to 22:00 hours.
- Blacos: municipal hall, 70 people, all schedules.
- Cubilla: Town Hall hall, 50 people, total availability.
- Herrera de Soria: Town Hall hall, 40 people, no reservations.
- Velilla de los Ajos: Town Hall halls, 40 spaces, subject to prior request.
- Maján: assembly hall, 20 spaces, subject to prior request.
- Liceras and Miño de San Esteban: Town Hall halls, from 20:00 to 22:00 hours.
- Espejón: Town Hall hall, from 18:00 to 22:00 hours.
In several small villages, the teleclub or the social center is used as the only available venue, with capacities from 35 to 50 people, and the fronton or church walls are used as supports for posters.
The campaign calendar is thus formally established for the entire province: the parties already know which rooms they can request, with what capacity and in what time slot, and the town halls know which walls and lampposts they are yielding. Publication in the official bulletin turns these lists into the mandatory framework for electoral propaganda, such that any use of premises or spaces not included falls outside the coverage that electoral regulations grant to candidates.
