Las juntas electorales de zona fijan locales y carteles de campaña

The four zonal electoral boards of the province of Almería —Almería, Berja, Huércal-Overa, and Vera— have designated the official venues, public places, and free poster sites for the general election campaign on November 29. This is done through five edicts published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Almería number 204, dated October 21, 2026, with references 2863/26, 2835/26, 2872/26, 2873/26, and 2841/26. The campaign will begin at 00:00 hours on Friday, November 13, and conclude at 24:00 hours on Friday, November 27.

The announcements are issued under the protection of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime: article 56.1 for poster sites and articles 57.1 and 57.2 for venues and public places for free use. The call for elections stems from Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, for the dissolution of the Congress of Deputies and the Senate and the call for general elections for November 29, 2026.

The scope is provincial: the Almería board lists 56 municipalities, Huércal-Overa 31, Vera 11, and Berja 5. The edicts are signed by the secretary of the Zonal Electoral Board of Almería, Isabel Ruiz Torres (October 19); by the president of the Berja Electoral Board, Leopoldo Guillén Sáez, and its secretary, Francisco Javier Asensio Cañadas (October 14); by the secretary of Huércal-Overa, Carmen López Fernández, along with the president Adriana del Mar Álvarez López (October 20); and by the president of Vera, María Luz Columna Hidalgo, and the secretary Juana María del Rocío Sánchez Águila, in the constitution act of October 15.

Almería: main halls, squares, and the Exhibition Palace

In the capital, edict 2863/26 reserves the main hall of IES Alhamilla (capacity for 100 people, Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 21:00) and the assembly hall of IES Galileo (80 people, in the afternoon). It adds unique facilities with restricted calendars:

  • Cabo de Gata-Ciudad de Almería Exhibition and Congress Palace, available from November 18 to 29.
  • Barrio Andalusí-Ciudad de Almería Archaeological Site, from November 13 to 18 and from November 20 to 27.
  • Antonio de Torres Guitar Museum, every day except the morning of the 17th and 18th, the afternoon of the 19th, and the full day of the 21st.

Outside the capital, high-capacity spaces stand out: Níjar provides squares with capacities of 500 people (La Glorieta in Villa, Campohermoso, and San Isidro) and 200 in Puebloblanco, in addition to about twenty social venues with 40 spaces; Gádor offers three squares for 1,000 people; Roquetas de Mar adds about twenty squares and senior day centers; and Vícar lists fifteen squares, expressly excluding educational centers and municipal sports facilities.

Poniente: counted lampposts and limits on loudspeakers

The edict of Berja (2835/26) is the most detailed regarding the limitation of supports. In El Ejido, posters, banners, and streamers may only be placed at ground level on the lower part of posts and lampposts, with a minimum distance of 50 meters from polling stations:

  • Carretera de La Mojonera, in Las Norias de Daza, between numbers 1 and 300: 93 lampposts.
  • Calle Norte, from the Carretera de Roquetas, in San Agustín: 20 lampposts.

In Berja, propaganda is limited to municipal panels, four with two sides, at eight points (Plaza Porticada, avenida José Barrionuevo Peña, Plaza de Toros, calle de las Mercedes, Fuente de Alcaudique, camino de la Cruz with camino Viejo de Benejí, parada de San Roque, and Peñarrodada), with a prohibition on banners, streamers, lampposts, trees, and facades. In Adra, portable panels of 2.5 x 1.5 meters and streamers on lampposts with a minimum height of 2.5 meters are permitted, with only one formation per lamppost, and fixing propaganda on trees and traffic signs is prohibited. Dalías reserves wooden panels of 1.83 x 1.83 meters and Balanegra only the panels at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the Carretera de Málaga.

Loudspeakers are also restricted: in El Ejido, from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 20:30, with a maximum of five minutes stationary; in Berja, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00, with ten minutes. The venues in El Ejido are assigned for specific days (November 14, 16, 19, and 25 in San Agustín and at the Miguel García «Candiota» center; 18, 20, and 27 in Room B of the Municipal Auditorium), from 19:00 to 24:00 and with 48 hours’ prior notice.

Huércal-Overa and Vera: from the wall to the scenic space

Edict 2872/26 of Huércal-Overa organizes the venues in a table by municipality: Albox appears with 17 spaces, including social halls and squares, and Huércal-Overa combines the urban center (Cine Municipal, Teatro «Villa de Huércal-Overa», Plaza Mayor, Paseo Alameda) with 18 districts, from El Puertecico to Rambla Grande. Edict 2873/26 details the poster supports, with walls measured in square meters in Vélez-Blanco (walls of 196, 162, and 144 m², among others) and lampposts in Zurgena, Cantoria, and Macael.

In the Vera board (2841/26), Carboneras reserves thirteen venues from 6:00 p.m., Cuevas del Almanzora twelve spaces from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and Pulpí enables 25 lampposts in each of eight locations. Vera offers the Cine Regio, the hall of the Casa de la Cultura, Juventud e Infancia Bayra (from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), Parque el Palmeral, Plaza Mayor, and Plaza La Pérgola, the latter two until 12:00 a.m.

A map that binds parties and city councils

The publication concludes the distribution of spaces through which the candidacies will organize rallies and poster pasting throughout the province, and transfers the management of use to the city councils: several require prior notification 48 hours in advance (Bentarique, Fiñana, El Ejido) and remind that the venue must be previously authorized by the zonal electoral board. For residents, the edicts also set noise limits and public road occupancy during the two weeks of the campaign.
