Las Hormazas renews its water infrastructure for 142,941 euros

The City Council of Las Hormazas has placed on public display the project that will renovate its water infrastructure, following its initial approval by the municipal Plenary in an ordinary session held on August 6, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Burgos number 151, corresponding to Wednesday, August 12, 2026, within section III, Local Administration, with reference BOPBUR-2026-03455.

The document submitted for public information is the “Updated project for the renovation of the catchment and reservoir in La Parte and new reservoir in Solano”, drafted by the public works engineer Ms. Basilia González González, professional association number 10,429. Its base tender budget amounts to 142,941.79 euros, VAT included according to the project itself, a figure that sets the economic limit for the future contracting of the works.

A project to ensure supply

The action combines the renovation of existing facilities with the construction of new infrastructure, with the aim of guaranteeing the water supply to the population. The actions planned in the technical document are:

• renovate the water catchment in La Parte;
• renovate the existing reservoir in La Parte;
• build a new reservoir in Solano;
• update the previous technical project to adapt it to the current needs of the municipality.

Twenty working days for objections

The procedure is governed by article 93 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, approving the consolidated text of current legal provisions on local government; by Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, and by article 83 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The public display period is twenty working days, counted from the insertion of the announcement in the bulletin. During that period, residents, construction companies and any interested party may submit objections and claims regarding the technical document, which must be assessed by the City Council before final approval.

The project will be available on the electronic headquarters of the City Council of Las Hormazas, through its transparency portal, at the address https://hormazas.sedelectronica.es. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Sergio Martín Hernando, and dated in Las Hormazas on August 6, 2026, the same date as the plenary session that agreed to the initial approval.

Relevance for the municipality

With this publication, the City Council completes the public information procedure prior to the final approval of the project, ensuring the transparency of the process and providing certainty to residents and businesses. The renovation of the water intake and the La Parte and Solano reservoirs is a structural action to ensure the water supply in the municipality, and the base tender budget of EUR 142,941.79 sets the maximum amount for the future tender, in which construction companies will be able to participate once the allegation period has ended. If no claims are submitted, the document will be deemed definitively approved without the need for a new agreement.
