Por FactBox Admin

The Association for the Development of the Vegas Altas del Guadiana (ADEVAG) has increased by 150,000 euros the budget of its first call for grants for the application of the Participatory Local Development Strategy and the Leader 2023-2027 methodology in the region of Vegas Altas del Guadiana. The total amount thus rises to 960,000 euros, destined for non-productive projects of actions for basic services for the economy and the rural population.

The modification of the call summary is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura no. 172, of September 4, 2026, with reference 2026062230 and identifier BDNS 882169. The full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database.

An increase of 150,000 euros

The initial summary, published on January 23, 2026, in DOE no. 15, set a credit of 810,000 euros charged to the budgetary application 120030000/G/314A/78000/FR23771900/20230313. The Executive Council of ADEVAG approved on July 22, 2026, a credit transfer of 150,000 euros, authorized by the Directorate General for Rural Development on August 4, 2026.

With this expansion, the fourth section of the call is rewritten with an amount of 960,000 euros, paid against the same budgetary application and in accordance with the credit availability of the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community.

Up to 30,000 euros per project

The aid intensity may reach up to 100% of the eligible expenditure, with the following limits:

  • 30,000 euros maximum per project, and no beneficiary may receive aid exceeding that amount.
  • 15,000 euros per project for local entities that have a hamlet (pedanía) in the municipality, which may submit projects for these hamlets, provided that no beneficiary exceeds that figure.

Regulatory framework and processing

The modification is supported by Decree 78/2024, of July 23, which regulates the aid system under the Leader methodology and the management procedure within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy of Spain 2023-2027. Article 28.5 allows for the increase of the amount assigned to the call through generations, incorporations, or credit expansions authorized by the competent governing body in rural development matters, within the limits of Law 6/2011, of March 23, on Grants of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.

The publication is carried out in accordance with articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Grants. The document was signed in Mérida on August 5, 2026, by the Secretary General, María de la Concepción Montero Gómez.

The expansion reinforces ADEVAG’s capacity to finance basic services and non-productive projects in the municipalities of the Vegas Altas del Guadiana, a rural territory that depends on these European grants to maintain its population and economic activity. With an additional 150,000 euros and a cap of 30,000 euros per initiative, more local entities and associations will be able to apply for funding to improve the quality of life in the region.
