Lanzarote amplía en 1,15 millones el crédito para explotaciones ganaderas

The Insular Council of Lanzarote and La Graciosa has increased by 1,150,000 euros the credits allocated to the call for operating expenses in livestock farms (Line 2) for the 2026 annual period, raising the endowment to a total of 1,200,000 euros. The decision, adopted by the Insular Government Council on September 7, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 109, dated September 11, 2026, under registration 1862483.

The increase is attributed to budget application 410.48903, titled “Subv Operating expenses for agricultural and livestock farms (Conv),” and responds to the need to meet the demand of the island’s primary sector. The announcement, identified in the National Grants Database with the code BDNS 915152, is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17.

Beneficiaries and regulatory framework

The beneficiaries are the same as those listed in the summary of the call for Grants for Operating Expenses in Livestock Farms (Line 2), 2026 annual period, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 76, dated June 26, 2026. The regulatory bases governing the granting, under a competitive bidding process aimed at the agricultural and livestock sectors of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, were published in number 118 of the gazette, dated September 27, 2024.

No new application period

The agreement does not open a new period for the submission of applications. According to the provisions of the second section of the call, the allocated amounts may be increased if they prove insufficient to meet all submitted applications, without the need for a new call. Therefore, interested parties already registered in the procedure benefit directly from the expansion of the available credit.

Signature and scope

The announcement was signed in Arrecife on September 7, 2026, by the president of the Council of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Oswaldo Betancort García, and is published on page 15789 of the gazette. The expansion reinforces the economic support for the island’s livestock farms in a fiscal year where the primary sector faces increasing operating costs.

The measure represents significant support for livestock farmers in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, who will see the coverage of their operating expenses guaranteed given the foreseeable volume of applications. As this is an increase to an already open call, the budgetary reinforcement translates into greater security for the beneficiaries without additional administrative delays.
