Lantejuela tenders the renovation of its sports complex for 782,875 euros

The Lantejuela City Council has initiated the procurement process for the renovation works of its Municipal Sports Complex, with an estimated value of 782,875.00 euros (excluding VAT) and divided into two lots. The agreement was adopted by the Plenary of the corporation in an extraordinary session on October 22, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville (BOP) No. 209, Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with the official reference CVE: BOP-SE-2026-209014 and the signature of the mayor, Juan Lora Martín.

A second attempt after the void tender

The tender comes after the previous procedure remained without a successful bidder: the Plenary declared file 117/2026 void on October 15, 2026. The Mayor’s proposal to relaunch the procurement was approved on October 19, with reports from the Secretariat and the Comptroller’s Office issued on the same day.

The contract framework is as follows:

• Contract type: administrative, subtype works.
• Procedure: open, with ordinary processing.
• CPV Code: 45200000 (general building construction work and civil engineering works).
• Estimated value and base tender budget, excluding VAT: 782,875.00 euros; VAT (21%): 164,403.75 euros; total including VAT: 947,278.75 euros.

The applicable regulation is Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, specifically its second additional provision.

Grass and pavilion surroundings: the two lots

The works are divided into two actions with different amounts and deadlines:

• Lot 1: works on the “Juan José Fuentes Rodríguez” grass field. Estimated value and base budget of 426,637.68 euros excluding VAT; VAT of 89,593.91 euros; total of 516,231.59 euros. Execution period: three months.
• Lot 2: works between the Blas Infante sports center and the “José Cascajosa Armesto” indoor pavilion. Estimated value and base budget of 356,237.32 euros excluding VAT; VAT of 74,809.84 euros; total of 431,047.16 euros. Execution period: six months.

Both lots share the CPV code 45212200 (construction work for sports facilities) and are subject to the execution dates of the grant awarded by the Provincial Council of Seville.

Provincial Council funding and pending procedures

The origin of the action is the grant awarded by the Most Excellent Provincial Council of Seville on November 27, 2025, within its line for the construction and renovation of municipal facilities. The technical project is the Basic and Execution Project, Version 2, approved by the Plenary on March 18, 2026.

The plenary agreement further orders the drafting of the specific administrative clauses and technical specifications, the retention of credit by the municipal audit office to certify sufficient funding, and the report-proposal from the Secretariat. Likewise, the Plenary delegates to the mayor the powers regarding the contracting board and the procedural acts, in accordance with article 22.4 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, an agreement which is published in the BOP and takes effect from the day following its adoption.

Why it matters

The tender opens a contract close to one million euros including VAT to local and provincial construction companies, following a first failed attempt, and unlocks works that affect both the grass field and the area between the sports center and the indoor pavilion, two spaces of daily use for the residents of Lantejuela and for the municipality’s sports clubs.
