Langa de Duero makes its 2026 credit modification definitive

Por FactBox Admin

The Langa de Duero City Council has finalized credit modification file no. 2 of the 2026 Budget, for a total amount of 255,409.72 euros, in the form of extraordinary credit and credit supplements financed by firm contribution commitments and treasury surplus. The agreement, adopted in the plenary session of July 7, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 104, dated September 7, 2026 (reference BOPSO-104-07092026).

The publication is carried out in compliance with article 169.1, by referral of 177.2, of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. As no allegations were presented during the public exhibition period, the agreement is automatically finalized and is made public summarized by chapters.

The scope of the modification

The operation readjusts the municipal accounts, which move from an initial budget of 1,286,162.90 euros to a final budget of 1,541,572.62 euros. The increase is concentrated in the real investment expenditure chapter, which absorbs the majority of the extraordinary credit.

  • Personnel expenses (chap. 1): +12,000.00 €, up to 316,343.70 €.
  • Current goods and services (chap. 2): +51,860.00 €, up to 574,705.03 €.
  • Real investments (chap. 6): +191,549.72 €, up to 602,770.22 €.

Financing of the file

The income side reflects the origin of the funds, with the treasury surplus as the main financing route for the credit supplement.

  • Current transfers (chap. 4): +12,000.00 €, up to 332,734.71 €.
  • Capital transfers (chap. 7): +27,000.00 €, up to 345,258.77 €.
  • Financial assets (chap. 8): +216,409.72 €, up to 216,409.72 €.

Appeals and effects of the agreement

Against the agreement, by virtue of article 171 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, interested parties may directly file a contentious-administrative appeal in the form and within the time limits established in articles 25 to 42 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, Regulating said Jurisdiction. However, according to article 171.3 of the same regulation, the filing of the appeal shall not by itself suspend the effectiveness of the contested act or agreement.

The document, signed in Langa de Duero on August 31, 2026, by the mayor, Iván Andrés Aparicio, thus consolidates the budgetary readjustment of the Soria municipality for the current fiscal year.

The final approval of this credit modification provides the Langa de Duero City Council with greater financial leeway to meet its spending and investment commitments for the remainder of 2026, backed by the available treasury surplus. Residents and interested entities have the contentious-administrative route to challenge the agreement, without this suspending its immediate application.
